Skip is right, Melo's lack of physical fitness & inability to change and improve his game over the years will shorten his career. All the great players in history have altered or added to their games at some point in their careers. Melo just doesn't seem like he puts in the work in the off season.

Melo is a street baller. He’s one of my all time favorite players. He could score from anywhere day one and was an instant plug and play. He never had to improve his shooting or any of that, so he wasn’t forced to have to be a great passer or defender in the meantime to contribute something while he works on his game. Melo was primed and ready offensively from the jump. He can still serve Houston well and can catch and shoot as the 3rd/2nd option on a team that definitely needs a legit third scoring threat.

He would fit the best on rockets. The offense they run is better for his playing style. They have alot of catch and shoot guys he could be one of them. They also run alot of isolation plays for Harden, Cp3 and gordon. Melo could be one of those guys because hes still a decent isolation player.

Melo is on the tail end of his career and is no longer a franchise cornerstone. He either takes a 2nd unit role on a good or possibly title contending team or spend the rest of his career in relative obscurity as an NBA journeymen.
GSW would be the best fit for Melo. They have a winning pedigree of which Melo knows nothing about at the pro level and that may be enough to humble him to play within their system effectively. With GSW’s constant ball/ player movement, 3 point shooting, and hopefully a healthy Boogie, Melo may win a title and extend his career a few more years.

What people forget to realize is Melo chose to accept and play a role at OKC; it's funny when the thunder was winning in the past months of December and January, no one was yelling Melo was a scrub, he needs to come off the bench. Comparing Melo to AI is such disrespect to the Answer like being compared to Cancer.. Er sorry that's a lil low and sound like I'm hating on Melo hard >.< but I'm just being brutally honest here. Melo has never lead his own team to a finals and only once had made it to a conference finals (with AI in Denver funny enough). He's a great scorer.. and that's about it, meanwhile AI impacts the game much more and is a better a scorer himself having earned 3 or 4 scoring titles if I remember correctly vs Melo's 1. Comparisons aside, Melo needs to put his pride behind him if he wants to win 1 and not be the odd one out of the 2003 super buddies Lebron Wade Bosh and even freaking Darko's got a ring.. I really don't understand why some hall of fame players can't accept a smaller role once they get older. We put them into the hall of fame because they are winning players. That's what we like the most. He didn't win a championship but when he was in his prime with Denver and even New York they were a winning team in the regular season at least and he was the best player. Now when he gets older he could still be a winning player just take a smaller role. Is not always about scoring 25-30 points or dishing our 10+ assistst. Is not about that at all. Is simply about bein a winning player no matter what role you have. Tim Duncan is not the greatst PF of all times because of his peak but because of his longveity. He was able to stay a winning player even way after his prime. More hall of famers should go into that direction. I wouldn't look down on Melo if he came of the bench and scored 10-12 points,grabed 5 rebounds and dished out 2 assists as long as he would be a + player. But I would look down on him and his career if he continues to demand first or second option on offense because he's simply not a winning player in that role anymore.
