Morrison bag is more recent but too tidy. Perhaps someone still lookimg after it. There is pic of couple on the floor propped up. Fairy washing up liquid is recent by the sink

Every time you open a door or a closet, etc., I half expect a skeleton to fall out. There is something about these old places that makes me want to clean my house & get rid of unnecessary things...Sure wish we knew the back story on the vanished residents.

The tin is for biscuits etc. You take out the bit in the lid with the moisture absorbing material and put in oven to dry thus making it reusable

That big plant looked just like an Asparagus Fern. They were very popular and easy to find in stores during the 70's. They can survive for a long time without water, and later it only dies back in sections, before a long time later it is finally done trying. So it is sad to see it totally dead knowing how long it would have hung on after how long it looks like it had been loved and given care.

I used to think it is so sad that someone's things are just left to decay. Watching this, maybe because, as you said, it's not creepy at all I now have a completely different opinion. It would be cool to have my home, with all my pretty-much worthless junk, left as a kind of memorial. As the years pass, it can gradually fall in & return to nature. Hey, maybe even leave me there, tucked up in bed--Hope you never find THAT in your explores!

Always makes you wonder what happened to the owners and why no relatives sold the property or cared for or removed their belongings! Kinda sad actually they spent a whole lifetime raising their kids making memories collecting things and belongings only for it be all left behind rotting and collecting dust and forgotten like they never even existed. 😕 Eventually the place will fall apart and noone will even notice or care (except for you explorers!) Great explore thankyou for sharing it with us stay safe!

Tony & Dawn had a huge, beautiful home & property! My take on their life is that she passed before he did so he was left to live alone until the end😔 The wooden wardrobe was gorgeous! The little graduated dolls were adorable...I’d have taken them home, Lisa👍 Sad that the daughter or granddaughter doesn’t go in & save some of the precious items 😞 Be careful Adam, Lisa may start keeping a diary on your daily chores as Dawn did on Tony😂😂Thank you 2 for sharing this wonderful property! I loved it ❤️

That sounds reasonable. I would add that the daughter probably grew up in that first floor room and still slept there when visiting, with the grandkids in the attic rooms.
Absolute brilliant find, what a lovely old place, frozen in time, I use to have one of those containers that held the moisture in, a biscuit tin, and I had the russian dolls too, love it when Lisa comes along with you, she goes into and looks at all the things I would too, thank you for a fab video, loved it.

That red babies pram i had the same one for my son in 1972 and I had the same vanity case as the white one ib blue in the 60s I used to take my pumps in it for pe my son had the white portable in the front room in 83 great old house it would be funny if the little girl was watching this or the boy

It's the lid of a biscuit tin. You pull out the middle and dry it out in the oven and replace it to keep your biscuits crisp

Hi guys, This was a great explore which hadn't been staged or messed around with in any way. I don't believe it was a case of 'pack up and go'. I suspect a couple with (probably), she dying first and his life alone unravelling as he became increasingly unable to cope. How sad! (BTW, paraffin hurricane lantern, £10-15 on Amazon now so not very different in price!). Lisa I love those Russian dolls too! Thanks guys! Really interesting!

I had a youtube come up im not sure why as i live in Australia but it was a Documentary on Adult Mental Health in the UK extremely sad but i cant help wonder if this is why a lot of those abandon houses are in this state , worth a watch if you come across it .

That's the type of typewriter I learned on in college... Guess that would have been around 1979sh
The lid you found was standard 80s biscuit tin lids, stopped your biscuits going soggy. They probably found out at some point that whatever was in the rattly bit was harmful or something, but I'm 50 and I've not seen one of those since o was very small!

Think the lid in the attic room is the top of a biscuit barrel.Definately a mixture of 70s and 80s toys n stuff there.The cassette twirly rackthing I had in the mid 80s.Lisa and her dolls made me laugh!Interesting place and a real time capsule.Cant wait to see where you go next.xxx

A tin that absorbs moisture, isn't weird, it's a biscuit tin, keeps biscuits crisp. You put the inner bit in the oven to revamp the granules.
