nice job!!! fyi....my father came to Seattle as a 16 year old in 1925. he graduated from Franklin High in 1927. he...along with many of "our" uncles, did not come to America as migrant workers. they came to better their education i.e., get college degrees. however, America greeted them with harsh racism and blatant discrimination. they were denied citizenship, could not own land...could not own a home...could only live in certain neighborhoods, i.e. Chinatown. for survival sake, they took any job..mostly low-paying menial labor...houseboys, dishwasher,etcetcetc. not only did they survive..they flourished in America...forging a way of life built on hard work and a strong sense of brotherhood and community....afterall, the only resources they had was each other. they were badasses that walked with panache and swag. "stand up for something....or fall down by nothing." I love...and...miss all of them dearly.
