Hi Steve. I would love it if you would do a more in depth video on setting up the MID. We've owned or new RAV4Limited Hybrid for about 2 months now and I still don't understand how to maneuver through the system & get it set up the way I want it. I also can't figure out an easy way to get to the different screens such as lifetime average fuel economy and then get back to the display I want to normally have displayed. You do so much better than any other "Toyota rep" that I've seen on TH-cam about explaining things so that they're easy to understand. Keep up the good work!
Always good info. Though you should mention you can arrow over one more to the left or to the right to select or deselect what options you have in the left and right spots.
Steve, this was a good start. A couple suggestions...from a guy that just picked up his Highlander Hybrid after an 8 month wait. I haven't had time to get into the manual yet, but a summary of what is available and how selections on the first alter selections on the remaining would be helpful. Also, I think that there are more choices than you can put in the three 3-screen options, but I am not sure. If so, that is on Toyota.
Using the tricks shown in this video, hold the OK button until you get the brackets and slide over to the left and pull up the mileage screen. Now, press and hold the OK button again until it resets.
Is there any way to get that colored line in the background of the display off? I never noticed mine before, but now that I have, I don't like it. 🤣 Thanks for the video.
Hi Steve, is there a way to customize the Clock on the multi information display to be in the 24-hour format rather than 12-hour format, just like it can be done in the multimedia system? I own a 2023 Rav4. Thanks.
The multimedia setting is connected to the MID. Both change at the same time. I did a short to demo this. th-cam.com/users/shorts8ZpQTbab8SA?feature=share
Hi, Many thanks Steve for your "so clear" videos 😊 ! Here is one question please regarding this one : When I choose to set the "Tire pressure" picture (reguadless its location) and then start/restart the car, this "Tire pressure" picture doesN'T come up, and another picture is displayed instead (e.g. navigation). Do you have the same behaviour/bug ?, and do you know how to fix/workaround this issue ? With thanks.
How do you get the settings to stay without changing everytime you start and stop the car, My grand Highlander settings on the screen show tire pressure but it won’t stay. Always reverts back to the mileage.
Did you hit the right or left arrow on the steering wheel? It you set tire pressure to show in one of the three views, it should stay there. Hitting the arrow will change views but you can get back to it without going into the settings
Hmmm... not sure which symbol you're referring to. I just re-watched this video and there is an organ light that shows up in the upper right when I turned off the pre-collision system so perhaps that's what you mean?
They should stay. I just went out and tried. You can customize all three screens and they not only save, they are matched up with your driver profile. Now... if you switch to a different driver profile, it will revert to that one. Is it possible you reverted to guest mode?
Mine don't stay either. I set up the right field on Screen 3 to show tire pressure. It will stay there until the drive is over. Next time I start the car, it's back to a blank field.
@@4demayer I figured out what was happening on mine. In the selection menu on the far right, I had only checked off tire pressure. Once I clicked on any other field, the tire pressure screen would stay. Interestingly, if I select any other field by itself, those will stay when I turn the car back on; it's only tire pressure that acts this way so I'll say it's a glitch.

Very useful information on this channel
These videos are great! Thank you!
Thank you! Someone changed my screen & now I can fix it, EASILY!
sooo helpful. Can you tell me where to go to reset my MPG counter at the beginning of a new trip? Thanks

(my "tire pressure" picture is set like yours in this video => on the 3rd screen)
Unfortunately, that is a known bug with no remedy. It odd the same on all Toyota models and the engineers are aware.
Thanks for this feedback.
How do you get rid of the “settings” in the middle of the display
I have a 2024 Venza Limited. How did you get the Tach?
How do you get the settings to stay without changing everytime you start and stop the car,

What’s the little orange symbol on the left side of the steering wheel that turned on?

Great video. 1 day old crown signia and it is overwhelming. Not like 2022 rav 4!
I set up my screens but after I turn off the car and turn it on again they change! How do I make them stay?
I’ll check that out tomorrow. Thanks for the info

@@lannymmine does the same! I can’t figure this out

Toyota made the cars too complicated with the electronics
Toyota the gadget auto - NEVER AGAIN !!!
