Ok, as I promised, here's some explanation of this AU:
Characters ages (January, before incident and before January 18th):
Touya: 13 (a few days before turning 14)
Fuyumi: 13 (turning 14 in December)
Natsu: 8 (turning 9 in July)
Shoto: 5 (a few days before turning 6)
Characters ages (January, when Touya wakes up after January 18th):
Touya: 16 (after his birthday)
Fuyumi: 15 (turning 16 in December)
Natsu: 10 (turning 11 in July)
Shoto: 8 (after his birthday)
Touya's coma lasted for 2 years.
After waking up, Touya stayed at the hospital for 2 weeks to finish his treatment. During this time he considered if he really wanted to become a hero.
In the end he decides to attend UA's entrance exam on February 26th. With only a few weeks to prepare himself, he focuses on physical training (without Endeavor's help, he mainly learns by watching his father's moves and trying to execute them).
He got first place in the entrance exam for one reason: written test and a highly destructive quirk which allows him to stop the robots easily compared to some of the competitors. Just like Midoriya, Touya finished the exam with a lot of injuries caused by his quirk.
Shoto and Touya's relationship:
Even tho it's better than in the Canon, they're not even close to having a healthy siblings relationship. Shoto admires Touya, and deep down Touya is still jealous of his younger brother. But he tries his best to suppress his jealousy, he wants to be a good older brother and make up for the lost time with all his siblings.
Touya's relationship with Endeavor and Rei:
For Endeavor, he holds a little resentment for everything. But he can't get himself to hate his father, because in the end he's still seeking his approval (even tho he hates to admit it).
For Rei, he has mixed feelings. He could never hate his mother, but he is ashamed for what he said in the past. Guilty, that's the best word to describe how he feels towards his mother, but still doesn't have the courage to face her now (it changes in the Sports Festival).
Touya's feelings:
He feels bad because he lost 2 years of his life and even his siblings feel like strangers to him now. He wants to become a hero, but is looking for a decent reason to justify it - because he thinks he wants to make it his dream and not his father's ambitions. Touya is not sure if he has the right to make friends, he never really tried to be friends with someone in his life and now he feels like everyone is too far away from him.
Lastly, but one of the most important traits to his character is that Touya thinks he's weak. He has almost no self-esteem and wants to work hard to reach his classmates. Touya is quiet and may seem individualistic and even “cold” to everyone (like Shoto when we first met him), but he's a good person. He's strong, but denies it because he looks down on himself.
Touya will slowly learn how to interact with others. And learn that he doesn't need to deal with everything alone. (Tenko and Hawks will help in this process). He'll become a great hero in the future.
