- An update on release date, as well as some exciting changes to the scope of the game.
Railroader is a cooperative multiplayer and singleplayer railroad simulator set on a short line in transition era Appalachia - sometime in the 1940's to 1950's. It's about running freight and passenger trains - switching cars, pick-ups, set-outs, and switch lists.

Very understandable as to why you're moving the release date with these changes. Cant be mad at these decisions
However long it takes makes no difference to me, I’m just hyped to play it!

Not having derailment was I think the wrong approach for the game. Glad you're adding it in.
This is great news. I would rather wait and have a higher quality game than have instant gratification and experience all sorts of problems. Can't wait to experience what you guys have created!
Appreciate the update, looking forward to the release. If I might make a suggestion, if there is going to be derailments in the game, it would be good to have a crane to lift the derailed cars/engines for immersion's sake.
Could start out as a manual derrick; then be upgradeable to a steam crane and then finally a diesel model as one progresses through the game.
Ran across this video in my TH-cam feed. Game looks interesting and coming along nicely. I’ll have to wishlist this if available on steam.
This game looks like you have put a lot of time into making a quality game. I am excited for it to come out but am excited to see a quality game. Looks great. Derails sound good as long as they are some what realistic so that the train doesn’t jump the track for no reason.
I am happy to see this game is going great. Although we got to wait a little longer. I do appreciate that you guys take your time to make a great product. Keep making railroader great.

Wow... Just wow. I just came across this video today having no idea that this even existed. I went and looked back at its development progress and this just looks amazing. As someone who has been in the rail sim community for over a decade, this is truly beautiful. I'll be definitely purchasing this at release and I'll follow its progress closely. Thanks for working on this!
Damn fine job with the steam physics. Best I've seen out of any train video game.

I'm glad to have learned of this game recently, as it might prove a necessary alternative to the game (which shall remain nameless) that my small community of online railroaders currently play as it is a buggy mess with a developer who doesn't seem to care about quality

Yes it's disppointing but I am happy about the expansion as that should give this even more repeat playability. I'll find something to do until this comes out. Keep up the good work.

Hey, I'm excited to play this when it comes out. However I REALLY hope you put VR on the plan with controller support, I've wished for a game like this for years, and I think others might agree. I hope you do it if possible. But nonetheless I'm exicted.
Not much more that can be added that hasn't already covered. Pleased to see the ongoing development and QC. more often it seems the paying public becomes the quality control and bug team. This year is still looking good. I have already added it to my Steam wish list.

with free moving an interacting with objects,to actual lay hand on to work like it's supossed to.

You said thinking of derailments well, many railroad games have struggled with making derailments look really good, by any chance could you make the weight of the cars have an effect to the derailments might help?
Looking foward to the game release whenever it happens. I updated my video graphics so when the time comes m computer is ready.

Just out of curiosity. Since I just came across this today and it looks like its gonna be a really nice game. What is the oldest and newest Locomotives you wanna add. Just trying to see the scope of history Ill get to drive when it releases. But take your time can't wait to play it. I know how game development is and you guys are upfront on why you changed the release date but even if it does take till 2024 to release you have support.
Can't say much on that just yet! What we can say, is that we'll be seeing them revealed in due time!

This si the first devblog I've seen, already hyped. Also, will you add the ability to oil rods and axles, along with cleaning out the ashpan and smokebox?

The game is very late to steam I've been waiting for it to come out for 9 months or more I'm still wait ing here and it says it's comming in 2023 it may 9 2023😅

Unfamiliar With this game. Is this a Server Only Game for Multiplayer? What is the Objectives Set in the Game? Will it be so hard to play in single player that you should not buy this? Will there be some kind of Dispatch System for jobs? Thanks
Single player is absolutely supported! Check out our Steam page or Q&A video for more detail, but in short you can decide how much (or little) freight you want to move by managing contracts.

Kinda of disappointed but go figure people trying to make it to real or over complicated at the end of the day its a game. But thats what happens when u have to many Indians and not enough chiefs. Really should release the first version then do updates/different maps like the pennsy or c&o and NYC or out west short line lines. At this rate maybe 2024 lol

@@robertwilliams4215 I would like developing studios to return to good old days when deadline was deadline and when announced dates of release were holy grail and were fixed! Solution is simple - dont create false hype and dont announce any release until you are actually ready for it and until you are 110% sure that you wont miss the deadline. How about that?
