This Is What a Supermassive Black Hole Sounds Like! Real Sound Recording 2022 (4K)

  • Have you ever wondered what a supermassive black hole sounds like? Black holes are powerful cosmic objects that are so monstrous that not even light can escape their grasp. So how could such a thing make any sound? Well, since 2003, the black hole at the heart of the Perseus galaxy cluster has been associated with sound. This is because astronomers discovered that sound waves emitted by the black hole generated ripples in the cluster’s hot gas that could be translated into a note, one that humans cannot hear. Now a new sonification brings more notes to this black hole sound machine. This new sonification, that is, the translation of astronomical data into sound, is being released for NASA’s Black Hole Week 2022.
    Now we can listen to the eerie sound of a black hole.

    On May 12th, astronomers are going to have some big news to share about the galaxy we call home (a rumoured image of Sagittarius A*!). But before we see the supermassive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way, I thought we should first listen to one 250 million light years away in a different galaxy! What did you think of the sound? Do you agree that it sounds eerie? Let me know below! V

      This isn't a live feed. This isn't what it would sound like if you could place yourself within the proximity of the black hole. It would just be a constant sound ranging from the highest and lowest frequency of this recording, and if you never moved it would take hundred thousands of years before you would notice any change in frequency. It's more similar to theta, beta and gamma waves ect. Similar to binaural beats

      ''The seven heavens and the earth, and all beings therein, declare His glory: there is not a thing but celebrates His praise; And yet ye understand not how they declare His glory! mind you all the observable universe (and not observable yet) is nothing but the first out of 7 universes created by God and in each universe God knows what type of creation live there and how big it scales and what physics rule in it.

      @@larryjenkins9397 When you think of life, you think of intelligent carbon based life animal biology, consciousness, but in reality it doesn't have to be breathing to be considered life. any creation animate or not can be life. in islam the Creator gives consciousness to mountains, planets and stars even rocks ect.., we know angels are created out of light and djinns out of smokeless fire. both are intelligent life that are different from carbon based. in fact they are shapeshifters that can travel at speed of light.
      they operate in physics and laws belonging to a higher dimension or universe. while we operate in lower dimension or universe. there is a youtube channel called melodysheep that did a video on alien life and whats considered life i recommend. and ofc read up the Quran description of bigbang expansion of universe relativity of time pulsars big crunch and more are all found within this book that alleged to be from the Creator himself. there is verses that says there is life all over the 7 universes and earth and some indirect mention to other intelligent life possibly existing in them as well. it kills me when ppl say i can't explore the universe i was born too early etc.. when we die our souls will experience travelling through the 7 universes and not just the observable universe, granted if our soul was good. this gives hope we can see enough to satisfy our curiosity. just do your research and ask me anything.

    Try to reduce the pitch with an audio app (you have to download the video) to only 40%, and you'll see how eerie it actually is. In fact, this should have been done with the post processing, to transmit the idea that is really a low frequency sound.

      Both.

    • @adamplentl5588
      @adamplentl5588 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not exactly. We're hearing radiometric data basically run thru a filter that translates the data into noise. Black holes don't literally produce a sound. There is no sound in space.

    • @derekdavis614
      @derekdavis614 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adamplentl5588 what about when a star explodes and goes supernova? How can there be no sound?

    • @adamplentl5588
      @adamplentl5588 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@derekdavis614 a sound wave requires a medium through which to propagate, such as Earth's dense particle atmosphere. Sound waves move through the air, vibrating the particles there in, which produces what we experience as noise.
      The vacuum or near vacuum of space does not possess a dense particle atmosphere, or really much of anything at all. So there is no medium by which sound waves can propagate. So even a star going super nova would not produce noise as we think of it.
      This is why scientists will take other types of waves, such as electromagnetic waves, and sort of transliterate the wave data into a sound wave through a process called sonification.

    I'm amazed to hear this. About 20 years ago, I heard some Christian theologians discuss the theory that black holes might be portals into hell. I have no idea if it's true, but the theory is interesting nonetheless. To hear these sounds decades later...well, it gives me pause to say the least. Imagine hearing sound waves that deep in the parts where it sounds as if there are voices moaning or crying out. It makes it kinda horrifying to me...if the theory is true, of course. Regardless, it's incredible to hear the sounds of gravity...just amazing.
