Sony is Trying to RUIN PC Gaming! - Exclusives, Region Blocking, Terrible Service

- Following the whole Helldivers 2 PSN debacle on Steam, Sony decided to roll back their decision on the PSN sign-in requirement. However it looks like they only partially solved the problem as there are plenty of countries blocked where Helldivers 2 was originally sold. Now players who’d like to play the game from those regions cannot play. Furthermore it appears as though Ghost of Tsushima, a highly anticipated action-adventure game that will be released to the PC soon, is going to require a PSN account for some aspects of the game and along with that the game will not be sold in those blocked regions that Helldivers 2 has. We discuss the implications and impacts this will have on the PC gaming market, and Sony’s future on this platform.

Sony think we pc gamers are like console gamers, couldn't be further from reality. They will learn a hard lesson if they try to make their own launcher.
Under no circumstance will we allow these scumbag publishers to console-ize OUR PC gaming space. This is our realm, not theirs. I will not touch a Sony product from a Sony launcher, ever.

on PS where you are constrained by sony, if you want to play online you have to buy PSN + buy games, that's absurd but that's the ps where sony holds the reins, on most people have to accept it, but PC where open platform if sony does that i really welcome it because they just told me that my full wallet doesn't interest them and therefore i will use crack

With Sony starting this awesome trend, I just couldn't help myself from joining in. I set up my own "Sony Blocked Region" on my PC.
steam could cut that 30% down and basically limit alot of this. when you spend a fortune making a game 30p haircut for platform access is alot of losses that can make a big dif. we seem to live in the age of everyone wanting to become a monopoly basically. this should really start have problems as we enter a world wide or are in a world wide depression reset currencies collapse. no one will get that chart go up moment anymore...
There was once a time when Xbox wanted to be like sony and now sony is trying to become Microsoft

@@StuckTrippin lol I thought the internet broke that barrier tho. I mean I can still purchase it from 3rd party outside steam and use VPN. At 35, I'm not trying to live like I was 16 trying to find every patch and crack to get a game I can't buy or play. I jus want to purchase and play... smh playstation
