I love how thorough you are with explaining all the why’s and how’s. Would you be able show us how’d you do a dark brunette or someone with black hair? I’d love to see how you’d balayage a client with dark hair.
We're being spoiled with all of your vids this week lol 😍😍 Im a student and I just did a balayage/Babylight following your videos and it turned out amazing!
So impressed with how thorough you are and your techniques make so much sense, although it also makes me cringe to now realise what a crappy job most hairdressers have been doing when colouring my hair! Beautiful work. Thanks for the upload.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge & expertise. I've been a hairdresser for 35 years. I love what I do, but get very burned out & needing redirection & helpful videos. Thanx again, I've learned alot!
Did you use 10 vol for all? And were you applying bleach to the full length of the hair? And did you use level 4 and 7 together...ratio? reason? Beautiful results.
Excellent job explaining and demonstrating Ashley!!!! When I start removing the foil in the nape with a wet towel, I make a spray with leave in conditioner, water and Oloplex. I wipe the lightener off, spray and gently with a comb through. I figure it doesn’t hurt anything other than making out easier to wash in the end and i know the processing has stopped.
Amazing video! Thank you for being an EXCELLENT teacher. Just hopeing ot clarify , when doing the root tapping....Did you use 4n on the back of her head and 7n on the top sides?
Thank you for this video! As a cosmetology student I'm always afraid to hold the foils or hair too tight, but I guess being afraid to do so is exactly my problem
Hi Ashley! I have a question. I hope you can answer or maybe one of your fellow hair colorists here can help. I’m a natural brunette but have “bleached” blonde hair. My hair colorists always put some bleach in my ends when she does my roots and I feel like my hair gets more and more fried every time I get a root touch. Is this something normal that’s done? She says it doesn’t damage my hair because she does roots first and then puts bleach in my ends for a shorter period of time, but I don’t understand why she does this when I’m happy with the blonde I have, and I just go in for root re touch.
That's a good point. I never understood why bleach-outs are frowned upon when babylights make it impossible to pick up the same hair every time. You end up looking completely blond after a period of time. Might as well do on-scalp.
@@DotWillow thank you but I meant more from a damage perspective rather than color. There is no way you can weave out all blonde strands again so you will definitely have bleach overlapping and risk breakage!
@@lillik2752 there are many good products to prevent hair breakage when you foil streak your regrowth. she said she only used 10 volume so it's no big deal to put the bleach onto the already bleached parts. Sometimes it's not even necessary to bleach the whole hair if the length are already light enough. but most importantly is to use the right conditioning treatment afterwards. :)
Amazing work. What happens when it grows out and say you have an inch of root growth of natural hair. How do you do the next highlights and root tap without it getting banding ?
I thoroughly enjoy your videos Your person is absolutely beautiful, and your technique is what I can relate to... I'm a seasoned stylist from NYC and now just getting into color... Love you vibe 🙏🌈☀️🦄
What bleach and peroxide did you use on this clients hair and what level was she. How long does it take her to process? Did you use Ola Plex in your formula?
Hi Ashley! I’ve been watching your videos and I love how you transform the hair to so many different styles and color. Is your salon in Los Angeles CA? I would love to have you do my hair. 🙏
I’m so excited that you shared another amazing video with us this week!! I love your work & always learn so much from you & I love how you mentioned timing and how people should take their time for good results and that speed will come the more you do it & the do’s & don’t do tips! your an amazing artist & I hope you share more videos of anything really soon (even if it’s not hair related) 💗
You do such an amazing job every time Ashley love you're work and tips thank you so much for helping out alot with all the videos can't wait for more , this helped me understand alot , saludos desde fort smith Arkansas ❤
I'm always thinking that i take too long foiling. But it looks like it's a normal thing although some of my clients say it was too long i want to do it faster any ideas how can I do that?
The root melt: Redken Shades EQ 4N & 7N (I’m guessing half and half) Toner all over Redken Shades EQ 10N & 9V(prolly more 10N) I think that’s what she said...:) So pretty!!
😭 I’ve been to so many salons, every time I get highlights there’s always a harsh line near my temples, and always when I pull my hair back in a pony tail. I am so willing to be a loyal client, but I just haven’t found anyone that takes the time to do this 😔
I love how thorough you are with explaining all the why’s and how’s. Would you be able show us how’d you do a dark brunette or someone with black hair? I’d love to see how you’d balayage a client with dark hair.
Yes idk if she’s done highlights on black box hair???
JUST LOVE THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN EVERYTHING!!

It took me a while to get that aha moment with foiling and I still have so much more to learn and further to go
This came out Beautiful!!! Your tip about weaving at the root is going save careers !!! Lol ❤
Did you use 10 vol for all? And were you applying bleach to the full length of the hair? And did you use level 4 and 7 together...ratio? reason? Beautiful results.

So glad I found your channel the way you describe everything 😬👏🏽
I love your content. Starting out in the field this really helps!
When you foil, did you rebleach what was already blonde? If so, do you get it to not over process? Beautiful work! ❤️
Amazing video! Thank you for being an EXCELLENT teacher. Just hopeing ot clarify , when doing the root tapping....Did you use 4n on the back of her head and 7n on the top sides?

Great work,, do you use a permanent or demi permanent on the root tap pls
Blessing us with 3 videos in same week. Thankyou, love your work 😍😍😍
Gorgeous, well done, foiling takes patience ❤
How do you touch up highlights like these? It must be impossible to weave out the same hair next time!

You would do few lowlights in between foils to break it up
ive always wondered that as well

Hello 👋🏽 I mixed with processing solution. Always 👍🏼🤍
