- After a failed bid for president in 2020, author Marianne Williamson is back on the campaign trail.
Williamson's platform is comprised of policies such as universal health care, tuition-free college, paid family and medical leave, adult basic income, and a federal law aimed at protecting LGBTQ+ people. She joined Boston Public Radio to discuss.

What do you think of Williamson's platform?
Marianne’s platform definitely speaks to my issues of how this country has been run, thus far. There seems to be an influx of greed that is hurting us on so many levels: Affordable housing, chemicals in our food, animal welfare, affordable healthcare and prescription drugs, etc. And she is totally aware of the mental health crisis, in which she knows so intimately through her previous careers… I’m also thrilled for a Department of Peace and a Department of Yourh and Children. Again, she’s got absolute talent in both of those issues.
I can go on-and-on about how much she is the right person for the job in bringing this country back together. I trust the American people to make the best choice, and I see Marianne as the best choice for this nation, and those countries we interact with as well, so far.

"Why do you want to be president? Want is not the right word. I don't think I trust anyone who says they 'want' to be president. It's a burden beyond which you can't even imagine." She's not in this for ambition and unbridled power. She understands this is about service to her country. She's stepping up to the status quo in a huge way and managing herself and seemingly her state of mind and health so valiantly. That's one of the many reasons I'm not for Dean Phillips. He's big on saying, "I will be the first Jewish president." Hilary was on the gender bandwagon, "the first Woman president." Marianne has a platform that is about the People. It's not about her. THIS is why I'm for her. She can clearly articulate how these core values will be expressed in her policies as President of the United States.

I will never forget when she was my minister @ Church of Today and asked the congregation to stand, turn to their neighbor on each side of them, and say I FORGIVE YOU.

Thank you for this important conversation. In 2019 Marianne asked her supporters to donate to Mike Gravel, she did an online convivial conversation with competitor Andrew Yang, and they became friends and read each other's books. She gave over twenty honourable mentions to Tulsi Gabbard, and was the only candidate, apart from Deblasio, to endorse Bernie Sanders. In 2016, she harnessed the power of Sister Giant to help to launch Bernie's campaign. She co-founded the Peace Alliance, and recently received an award from the P.E.A.C.E. department along with Dr. Cornel West. In the eighties she founded Project Angel food to feed homebound AIDS patients, and often took care of them with her own hands, changing diapers, and feeding them while they threw up on her. Remember this was a time, when people didn't know how the virus was transmitted.
For the past four years, she has been sharing her platform with down ballot candidates, state by state. Those interviews are a civics lesson unto themselves.
She is an incredible public speaker, often inspiring crowds to surge to their feet, and roar.
She is so inspiring. I pray to God the American people get to understand the opportunity they have with her as President. Williamson summed up what went wrong in the last 50 years for the majority of the people in America and common-sense solutions. GBH News guy interviewer applied brakes to almost every good idea. Why was he so head strong to apply the brakes so hard? Where is the independent thinking media? Perhaps he should experiment and go without a meal for several days...

I used to be a democrat and now I am an unaffiliated voter, but I like Marianne Williamson's platform for president of USA. Even though I do not agree with her in some issues I am willing to trust her because she seems to come forward with the truth by telling it like it is regardless of the circumstances, this might be due to her spiritual beliefs of not lying to the American people or anyone. God bless her, America and the whole world.

Marianne Willimson is a thousand times better than homeopathic remedies. Natrum muriaticum is just expensive table salt, for example. However, Marrianne gets it! Many of us our suffering from chronic economic stress. College educated baby boomers are rapidly becoming homeless. I am therefore voting for Marriane.

The Constitution job description doesn't require political experience. They left it wide open so that a variety of backgrounds can do the job. She has a different kind of experience working with people that might be what the country needs right now.
