Dream SMP will always be apart of my childhood, it also helped thousands of people through COVID, I would search up animatics, theories, and fanart of the SMP and I loved everything about it. Even if some of the people didn't age well, I'm glad that most of the people from the SMP are still great and thriving. I'm not ashamed to reminisce and rewatch Dsmp clips. Great job creator, can't wait for your next random post.

PROTEGE AU ANIMATIC IN 2024??!? Incredible!! This is SO GOOD and an amazing follow to Evil Like Me! It's so wild looking back on dsmp events now.. I think part of it will always stick around in my head, even though I've been it all behind due to Everything That Happened... Fully agree with what you said in the desc! This was always one of my favorite AUs and the first animatic was one of my favorite dsmp ones ever :) love hearing that a Tangled NOthing Left To Lose animatic woulda been the third installment!! I imagine it now yesyes. This was an amazing conclusion to your dsmp content and I look forward to seeing whatever art you make next! Good Omens would be terrificcc since you mentioned it :D PS if you only know this song from an animatic, valid, BUT you should totally watch the original Prince of Egypt movie it is a somewhat-hidden animation GEM and all the songs are pretty good! ^^

Hello! I can be your local historian of sorts! The protege AU was a popular AU within the DSMP following Exile (in this case) and later on the final disc confrontation. Essentially Dream manipulates Tommy into being his protege, a villain like him to stand against the rest of the server he once called friends. You won’t see them much anymore (the fandom is almost nonexistent now anyway) but it’s still a fun concept to explore whenever it is!
adding onto what @artsrandomstuff436 said, probably the most popular example of a protege AU is the fic "Rewind" by A_Non_ymousWriter! I highly recommend it, though the sequel wound up needing to be dropped for various reasons. The author is lovely and their worldbuilding is incredible. I highly suggest reading it, definitely worth your time if this concept intrigues you at all. And hey, if you want more afterwards, Rewind actually inspired me so much that it served as the core for my own protege AU! I went in a veeeeeeery different direction though. "Blood & Gold" my beloved, I toiled for So Very Long over it.
