Bad teaching. 2nd movement ...Why indicate left if u not turning to the left. Suppose to lock the tyre full to the left then straighten tyre when bonnet faces a little to the right. 🙄

Hi if you dont indicate to the left some examiners will minus 5 points. You dont have to lock left and straighten the wheel... if you reach a 90○ turn on the first move. Its easier that way and less movements and less chance of you having points minused and less confusion for the student performing the task as well as easier to tech and learn. The way you explained is the old school method back when driving schools were using larger non power steering cars and the students could not make a 90○ turn on the first move. Thanks for the comment.

Greetings. There are many K53 manuals written by individuals or groups and available at a veriety of outlets. The only manual we make referance from is the K53 Government Gazette and is thicker than a telephone directory and explains the tasks and objectives in detail.
The reason we advise you to indicate when reversing backwards is because the examiner may not notice that the reverse is straight to the back and may minus 5 points because of this , hence we indicate to avoid possibly being minused 5 points and ensure enough available points to pass.
The reason we use this method as explained earlier it cuts out 2 difficult moves when reversing ( that confuse most students )
There is a veriety of information and advise available from a veriety of individuals and companies.
Each student has a choice on what advise to follow.
      Warm Regards DC Team
