- This is so very, very late.
Been just putting this together on and off for months. And when I mean months I mean a few hours of doing it, then not touching it for weeks, then a bit more, then same process x times, and then here it is.
The reason it's so long is cause Bloodborne is a slower-paced game, and I hate interrupting Dan and Arin speak, I love their dialogue before and after deaths, and would rather have the context of their current conversation. Plus, I figure most of their viewers maybe won't mind so much, since it's one of the big reasons they come and watch them. Maybe not for an hour long run, but I wouldn't do it differently.
I'm not gonna correct anything, and I don't really care if I have missed any deaths. And I did less edits than I could have, but tbh I don't have much time for that now.
Dark Souls 3 should be next, not sure if I'm interested in doing Galaxy either, but either one I doubt it's going to be anytime soon. Lots of stuff going on more important than these.
I'll only do Super Mario Maker if I'm paid to do it. They're compilations on their own. Good luck convincing me otherwise.

I can't believe that, for 40 episodes, the average number of deaths per video was actually less than 1.
That's still like a death every 10 minutes, which if you add in the time it takes to get back to your previous death location each time, means quite little progress was being made loll
defeating Blood starved beast with only one death is a pretty good achievement to be honest, I am quite impressed at Arin's skills.

that's probably because of Mario 64s age because it's camera and controls are not as smooth as bloodbornes due to it being over a decade older

He's been able to brute force his way through the whole game. With almost no item and multi player help. I think he deserves a little credit, I'm sure he could have taken out that son of a B eventually.
I never said he couldn't do it, I'm just saying that him going through the entire area and then taking on Logarious would've taken way longer than 3 or 4 episodes

umce vidyas Only 142 deaths in the entire game + DLC is a good ratio. He beats some of the hardest bosses in one or two tries.
After knowing the game after beating it previously as well.
I mean, only having 1.3 deaths an episode isn't incredibly terrible.

Arin died 142 times in Bloodborne and 148 times in Mario 64. Very on brand.
Hey Storm of Thunder, I loved this death montage you made. I always love watching players fail at extremely hard games for various reasons... over and over and over again... but I noticed a mistake at death 91. Death 91 was recorded to be at episode 85, when it actually occurred at episode 83. Anyway, just thought you should know that I enjoyed the video and that I can't wait for more
Thanks for telling me. I'm glad you enjoyed the montage, and I admit my method was very susceptible to errors like this. In case I make any more, I'll keep it in mind.

This is making myself feel worse about my current bloodborne playthrough. Arin beat Father Gascoigne on the first go. That fucker killed me twice and I died a third time on the way there cuz I got trapped and hit by the flaming ball on the bridge. I lost 11,000 echoes. I hate myself. I hate this game. I'm probably gonna keep playing tomorrow.

So Arin beat Father Gascoigne in one try, but struggled against the One Reborn. Wow, that's...... That's very strange.
At about episode 40 his deaths passed the episode number

I just realized he didn't die to the shadows of yarnham and I still can't get past them...
Arin is a great voice actor and good at improv. However when it comes to playing video games he completely sucks. There were a few times where he focused on the games purpose but not really.
The only game I feel both Arin and Danny are good at and can make mistakes in is Kirbys Dream Course. I love that series because it was made for them.
Arin's average Bloodborne death per episode was 1.08, which was way lower than I was expecting.
Arin's average with the Old Hunters DLC on the other hand shot up to 1.30 for the entire playthrough, or 1.54 just on the Old Hunters content. That's more like the Arin that we know ;-).
...and just because I was curious, the average for the Fishing Hamlet alone was 1.89 deaths per episode. Which makes complete sense to anyone who has had to play through that insane difficulty spike.

And to think Arin cheated on Maria, ran past most of the Fishing Hamlet, and cheated again on the Orphan. How many more deaths would there have been if he didn't wimp out.
If I could have given Arin advice back then, it would be to dodge towards and around the enemy not back and away.

This makes me feel better about my own run through this game and DLC recently... Nearly cost me my sanity. Everyone on youtube posting NG+7/bare fist/underwear/no damage/blindfold vids, should be made by law to post a death video like this as well :-)

one exception being episode 87 with 6 deaths
one word - Bloodbourne
I know his type. He's a... very determined aren't he? He won't give up even if there's uh... absolutely NO benefit to persevering whatsoever. If I can make that clear, no matter what, he'll keep going. Not out of any desire for good or evil, but just because he think he can. And because he "can"... he "has to". =)
