I worked in a hospital for years and you learn to pick up hints that someone's not on the up and up really quick but when you first start off it's not as easy. It really does make you feel like an idiot to sympathize with someone and try to help them only to find out they were lying the whole time. You could hear it in the paramedic's voice as she was questioning him. She clocked on to the guy almost instantly.
The nurse knew something was strange about that shark bite. The ways she was making so many questions and his answers were getting different. It was kind of strange cuz his story was kind of changing and all of the shark attacks has a tones of teeth marks in it and they use to dilacerat the skin or have that U angle

As someone who lives near, and goes often to the coast I’ve studied sharks, and their bites. I thought the whole time how odd it was that a shark could have bitten him with only it’s top teeth.

Given the shape of the bite(s), the no bottom teeth marks, and the ever changing story, I was thinking his shark attack story was a bit fishy. Get real, you get attacked by a shark, go home and go to bed and don't say anything to the GF, and then somehow end up outside passed out for 14 hours in a cave ... not buying the timeline.
It was pretty obvious when he was looking for something for the pain because the whistle ”wasn’t doing anything” to help. He wanted something to make him “better”.

I wasn’t looking at him, I was looking at her and I Stan knew it was BS. First, I’ve never known any shark to only have 3 teeth in a straight line, 🤣. Their jaws curve into a horseshoe, just like literally everything else on the planet with a mouth. Second, this guy’s behaviour screams addiction. When those 2 factors came into play, I turned to her body language immediately; instant truth. She was silent, she couldn’t make eye contact, she physically distanced herself and avoided the conversation. That “anonymous “ phone call was her. I hope she’s rid of him and doing well.

It's pretty ignorant to fake a shark attack, for obvious reasons, causing alarm & panic. But also, for sharks in general, who have the 'monster maneater' fear ignorantly thrust upon them😔. (Thanks Spielberg!). I love all animals, big & small, and sharks are one of my most favourite 🦈.
To see that poor fella wrapped up in that net and drowned, broke my heart💔. Yes, we need to protect ourselves from dangerous animals of the ocean, I just wish there was a better, more sustainable way of keeping us and them safe.
Edit: He said a gummy shark bit him right, a quick google search will show that these sharks don't have teeth like most sharks, they have a hard serrated jaw and they 'crush' their prey. That guy is an asshole, and I'm extremely annoyed right now!! Education people!!!!
