Thanks Marcin, a lot of these requests the user has paid for the scan and often times I can't share it. This one has said he was happy to share which is excellent!
thanks. Alt+1 for box display and Alt + 3 for smooth display. For the edge displays those are tied to CTRL + 4 for no edges and CTRL+6 for edges. If you are on a mac then swap CTRL for command and ALT for Option.
@@sebastiankozak3818 In this case the user only needed help with the shape and the holes were going to be drilled manually. I did a video awhile back on adding hardware for a 3d printed flare here th-cam.com/video/ds9C6Q067XU/w-d-xo.html
Just curious - why not use the 'pull' function instead of manually adjusting the points to conform the plane to the mesh? Thank you for the amazing videos!
With really high quality scans and parts that need to be a precise fit, the pull tool is a great option. Things like a spoiler to fit a deck lid or a scoop to fit on a fender. This specific part was going to be a large 1 piece 3d print(the person was building an 8ft printer i think), and it was for a race car. Knowing the fabrication method, quality of scan, and use of the part is what drove the choice. If you use pull on a high quality scan of a bad part, or have a low quality scan of a good part, the form can end up having waves in it. So you just have to choose wisely.
Great video(s), I do have one question though. When I'm in 'Edit Form' I can't switch between Box & Smooth display using Alt 1/3, the only way I can do it is using the controls under 'Selectoin Options' in the GUI which is obviously not what is happening in the video, makes this work flow a bit awkward. Alt 1/3 works when GUI not open. Any idea what I'm doin
Unfortunately the last big Fusion update broke that... So anytime you have a dialog open like Edit Form, the alt+1 to view in box display no loner works. You can expand the Select Options and there is a display toggle there in Edit Form, but the other tools where you might switch back and forth it won't work. Alt 1/2/3 should still work when no tool/dialog is open. There is another fusion update coming soon and I am really hoping that gets fixed. I did email some contacts to alert them of the issue so fingers crossed...
@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign thank you very much for the reply. I thought it may be something like that. Ad you say there are controls in the GUI and the Alt commands do work when the GUI is closed, it just makes the workflow a little less slick. Fingers crossed it gets fixed in future.
Try filming it ;) But yeah it does take awhile, but no matter how many variations on different parts I do, there is always another request. If there is ever something you want to see I will add it to my list.
like some sort of geometric pattern you would find on a bike/motorcycle grip? if you could email me an image of what you are looking for sure. support@caducator.com
I really appreciate you putting these videos out. To see someone skilled at this working through the problems in real time is extremely helpful!
Glad to help. I know the longer video format and "raw" nature isn't for everyone so glad it is helpful.
Thank you for those amazing videos! Very very helpful for beginners!
Glad you like them!
nice work! you explain verry good, thank you!
You are welcome!
Adding that downloadable data is brilliant idea :)

Great videos, very helpful, what keys do you use to switch between smooth view, sharp edges and edge hiding?

Watching that is sooo tedious, but also enlighting ;)

@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign well... if you ask for it 😂 can you maybe add to your list how to make uniform grip "pimples" on complex surface?
