What a sad, yet wonderful ending. All actors did a wonderful job in bringing their character to life. The Main couple were a wonderful match while working together to solve their problems and in showing the affection they had toward one another. Wallace Chung is a handsome man and if every man were like the character he portrayed toward his wife, there would be a lot less divorce. The story was captivating; the music was wonderful; the costumes and scenery were beautiful. The emotions that each actor brought to life had me talking back to them, especially the troublemakers. One point that I will always remember is when the ML came galloping his horse around the town corner to quickly protect his wife when she and her servants were feeding the refugees. And of course the Main couple had the best kissing scenes. Thank you for putting it on TH-cam.
Shiyi is actually the Grand Matron. She cleaned up the Grsnd Matron’s mess of allowing all these evil concubines into the home trying to scheme and gain the lordship’s favor. I think the grand matron was jealous of Shiyi and went out of her way to find reasons to dislike Shiyi no matter how much she accomplished. Shiyi will never be good enough to the grand matron despite her appearing to get along with Shiyi at the end. Good series though.

This was a wonderful drama. I suggest watching it . I love the characters Wallace Chung plays. Makes me think he’s a good person.
