I think I'd love to be on a bigger plane for this long flight. The B767-300ER might suit a 5-7-hour flight. The meals were excellent, but I think I've seen better. Maybe it was because of the plane departing from the US, not Japan, wasn't it?
I was pretty disappointed with the 767 business. The lay flat seat, I couldn't actually lay flat cause my shoulder width is too wide. Made for a pricey long flight that was not a lot better then economy.
Having flown on a 787-8 and a 777-300 recently on a long haul flight, I'll take the small plane any day. Big planes are too crowded, service is really slow onboard and the bags take forever to arrive at the destination.
Jal's japanese meals tends to be better when departing Japan.
