Definitely a pom girl! I love watching the shadow of my bobbling beanie pom leading the way in front of me on frozen mornings. It gives me energy to finish walking my husky, who wears her full-body pom everywhere. I love your pom/beanie color combo!
I absolutely love a pom pom! I didn’t read it until adulthood and I’m so glad I finally read it! I’ve read it several times in the past few years. I love it!
I read The Secret Garden over and over throughout my childhood. I couldn't even begin to guess how many times I read through it, but it was a loved, worn, tattered paperback. A few years ago Helen Stewart from Curious Handmade released a pattern inspired by the book so I downloaded it to my iPad since my original copy is also lost to time, and I loved it just as much when I reread it then. :)
I love the colours in your Robinia! The yarn seems amazing - it must be so soft and squishy. 🤩 I’ve made the Robinia tee and the shortrows in the front and back give the top a beautiful neckline - no sense of being strangled like with a straight boatneck. 😂
I’m also in a green season. Currently making the Autumn League Pullover in green and just bought a sweaters quantity in green for a cardigan! I signed up for your test knit!
I also prefer an enclosed tube cowl. They just sit so nicely, especially with colorwork. Maybe you could do a provisional cast-on with a lot of stitches to make it work horizontally and then either 3 needle bind off or kitchener it together at the end.
I agree, those cowls are just so satisfying to wear. I'd love to do a cast-on on the long edge, but that makes yarn amounts tricky for a kit. We'll see!
I love shadow wrap heels! I’ve subscribed but didn’t receive a more recent notice of a test. I re-did again. FYI. So pretty! Btw, I love the amelie yarn!
How about "Hoar Frost Beanie"? The search term "hoar frost" returns one hat (titled simply "Hoar Frost") and five other patterns in Ravelry, so "Hoar Frost Beanie" would be unique. Just an idea. 🙂
Often its not that the yarn lengthens but that the knitted fabric becomes thinner as a result of the way the stitxhes re-settle into eaxh other . Hard to explain but thats why garments made from blown yarn (and indeed even yarn made from strips of cloth ) become bigger after washing.

Haha yes! I completely agree!
I like the pattern on the hat. Reminds me of racing raindrops on a window. Makes me want to knit it watching the rain with a cosy fire 😂.
Ohhh I see that now too!
As a fellow pnwer, I am so here for your green season 💚🍏🌲
It just speaks to my heart! 💚
The Secret Garden is my FAVORITE book. Such a great classic.
I couldn't agree more!

That's good to know that it's still a good read into adulthood! I agree, team pom-pom!
I am usually not a pompom girl, but I think the Holiday Frost is a perfect candidate for the pom. It looks like a fantastic gift knit!!
I totally agree!

I relate to this so much! 🥰
Horizontal lights on the cowl. I can’t wait for your sock pattern to come out.
Thanks so much!
Team Pom!!
Agreed!

That's so good to know! Yes, this yarn is incredibly soft, I'm really loving it.

Oh that will be so beautiful!
Love the origin of your Under the Ivy cowl. 🧶 The Secret Garden is such a great book.
It really is!

Depends on the beanie whether I like a pompom. Some just call for one and some don’t. I think, if it is a slouchy beanie, I don’t like pompous.
That totally makes sense!

Oh good! The Trim the Tree pattern hasn't gone out for testing yet (currently with my editor) so stay tuned!
I just bought ghe cowl. It's so pretty!
Thank you so much!! 🥰

Ohh that's a great one! I finally came up with a name, but this is a good option too. Thank you!
Team Pompom
Agreed!
Hello from San Diego, just found your channel, where are you podcasting from?
Hello from Washington!
Sure I am a Pom Pom person! 😂
Me too!

Can you reknit the swatch and measure it without blocking to reassure yourself?
That's a great idea!
No pom for me. No pom, no bobbles. I think they're cute on other people, but not on me. ;)
That makes sense!
I'm a no-pom person, but only because where I live you often cannot guarantee that it is not made from some poor creatures' fur.
That makes sense!
If stoneage people thought like that then none of us would be here.
@@satsumamoon Glad I'm not a stoneage person then.
