An excellent album.., that two years later had its continuation in the album: "World Hits"...similar arrangements...a continuist formula!!!

Difficult to find great musicians like these guys in 2017. James Last was sooo good! Sadly missed.

James Last was the last of the great directors, arrangers and composers. There are still orchestras ... that are limited to cover songs by James Last, Bert Kaempfert; but, of course it is not the same and they know it. The sound, style: "Easy Listening" happened to the story of our lives ...

Joseph Noise so true ! Wish we could be young again and re-live happy music times! Lucky we have youtube and people who care about great music like YOU! Great music never sounds out-of-date!

Joseph Noise no-one arranged strings and brass like James Last. The new orchestra leaders are mostly poor imitators of the great 'easy listening' orchestra leaders.

I like other musical styles; but, the sound of the great orchestras of "Mood Music" or "Easy Listening" and especially the music of James Last makes me crazy! The luck of having this "tool" of the internet (TH-cam and other platforms) invites us to have, to enjoy all his record material (sonorous and visual). Especially James Last who can find 90% of everything published by him.

I do not pretend that anyone is offended or disturbed ... but, today's orchestras are like those village orchestras, that in the town festivals they played fashionable versions of musicians and singers. We do not want to pretend that the "Easy Listening" sound is still alive in them.

It is nice that James introduces the singers to us at 19.08 - the best line-up ever for me. Sue and Sunny with Tony Burrows and Lyn Cornell were just great. Shame that Russell Stone was missing!

"Joanne Stone (also singer of James Last's orchestra) wife of Russell Stone died in 1979. Then aged 37, died of a brain tumor. Completely overwhelmed by grief and unable to cope, Stone found solace in drinking. Russell Oliver Stone, ex "Brotherhood of Man" (about 1972). Stone is making a return to music with his first new album in 36 years, "Love Aspects", released November 11, 2013 on Right Track Records. In 1976, with his wife, Joanna, Russell enjoyed a worldwide hit with their self-penned ballad We Do It: th-cam.com/video/XVcxAdYVYqA/w-d-xo.html
