We have one local man who collects bikes from scrap heaps and fixes them and gives them away to kids who still want to ride bikes. Another guy collects lawn mowers and repairs them and on-sells them at a cheaper cost than new. Yep, we are guilty here Down under to for throwing away good stuff. Hi from Australia

Amazing the different styles or options to dumpster Diving. Years ago, for me, risk of Personal Injury, uncertainty of truly being Trash, Space vs Value, and time required to clean for most Profit and most importantly, Load Space value. I've literally seen pick up trucks come to the scrap yards loaded with mixed metal losing %50 or more value due to mixing Short Steel, Stainless or electrical appliances with elect. cords still attached with plain low Dollar per ton metals. An intact a/c unit is worth a little better than coin change and takes up valuable space, break it down to copper and condenser you are talking dollars. Once a week I'd cash in electrical cables from fans, blenders etc. for a hundred dollars or more. Same goes for manufacturers Brass, doorknobs and some shower rods etc.
Another great haul Keeps you busy,frees up the stuff people should be donating instead of just throwing it in a bin. Thank God there are some good things saved by you.

I was walking through a home depot here in Michigan the other day and they were selling wooden wire spools about the same size as the ones in this video for $50 a piece! Couldn't believe it 😂😂😂😂😂😊
