I love how I’ve just found the teacher side of TH-cam, I’ve watched all of her set up video so far. Also a suggestion to have that would be fun is the door by your desk you could print out a bunch of positive quotes so when the kids look over that’s what they see. ☺️

On your boxes in your reading corner you should put "Read More Books" and "Readers are Leaders"
the « readers are leaders » signs can be triggering for people with dyslexia... so be careful about that :)
I have an idea for the LED lights. You could make a chart and have some of the colors the lights are and those can represent voice levels. For example when the lights are on red that could mean silent, yellow could mean whisper and green could be inside voice.
Also please like so she can see this ❤️

You should put all the months and dates on your date rings that way you can just flip it everyday instead of having to take it off everytime

Going into my third year, stressed about teaching through the pandemic, and I gotta say: you first year teachers are CHAMPS! I cant imagine trying to figure out year 1 and pandemic teaching at the same time. Keep it up!!

In the little basket that’s on your bookshelf beside the center of the class room that’s like brass material, you should put rags of erasers for the white board.
You've done an amazing job on your class so far. Thank you for the spray tip. I did it on all my laminated sheets and it makes a huge difference. Been setting up classes for years and I never knew about it. Also your rainbow theme is so cute, especially the borders!

Your classroom really came together. So cute. I would hide those Clorox and Lysol wipes. Those might get scarce again so you don't want someone taking off with them. Maybe you could store them in the cabinet when they doors are on and just leave a container or two out at a time. Where did you find those wooden bowls? So adorable.. really like those.

Some great blackout curtains on Amazon that are cheap are from NiceTown, they're the 100% blackout ones. They feel like great quality and they're truly 100% blackout. The Hawaiian sun doesn't even get through them and they help keep heat out.
Be careful with jolly ranchers. They get stuck in retainers and teeth. We had both a 6th grader and a teacher get stuck.

It’s looking so good but I think I might have a few tips.(btw you don’t have to do them I just think it might make it better) I think you should take away that like tan rug by the cloud rug because I just feel like they don’t go together and then my last one is I think you should turn the tissue box the other way and fit another one next to it so that it’s like holding more tissues and it all use up that extra space you have around it

As a psychology graduate I love the growth mindset board. I think it's so important for their wellbeing to understand that they're not limited to anything and that mistakes are a powerful learning tool. I wish I could just copy and paste that display onto my own ☺️ xx
You should make a sign where it’s fires tornado lockdown or like any emergency
Instead of putting words on the boxes you should take the twine ribbon you used on the curtains and tie it around the top of three boxes so there's a cute bow in the front

You can always laminate your boarder to help preserve it and to be able to save it and reuse it! I use it in my kindergarten classroom.
My classroom this year (I’m a second year highschool english teacher in Florida) is Dalmatian print, wood, and stars...have you been spying on my room??? Those bulletin boards are totally my room theme!!! Love it Is that the target Dalmatian print removable wallpaper?

I also teach middle school ELA. I divide my white board into 4 sections: 1. Objective/ learning target; 2. bell ringer; 3. Agenda for the day ( I have an arrow that I move up and down, so in case we have a visitor in the room, they know what we are doing; 4. Homework/ announcements
you should put the 15 shelf organizer inside the cabinet to organize your astrobrights!!
Stuff you can tape off is winter, birthdays, lessons for the day etc.

pretty sure those clear bins are at Dollar Tree as well. Room is coming out great!
On Amazon they have magnetic curtain ties. Then if you need to quickly untie/tie the curtains quickly you can. 🙂
What will happen if all of these teachers who decorate their rooms beautifully, and then they go online? Will you just leave your rooms as they are, and come back next year or something? 🤷♀️🌼❤️

Well for my school we are going back definitely. I’m not sure if we will stay but we’re going back for now.
Even if the kids don’t go back most teachers will continue to teach from their classroom.

In my opinion, I would rather have it set up just in case we are told some Friday that we are going back on the next Monday. That would be so stressful trying to set it up over the weekend!
for the big white cardboard cubbie thing, you could use them as a turn in slot for each student
I would suggest purchasing the elementary style book bins (they come with a label sleeve) for your student cubbies. Like to put those supplies in. I’m assuming they may also keep some stuff in there. It will just be less messy when the middle schoolers are involved 😂
And also when school does start you can put a positive quote on a sticky note on everyone's desk
You can put the wet wipes in the box that has the tissues so it’s more convenient.
My old county was a "standards based" classroom and we had to tape our white board. We had to have the date, essential question, standards, warm up, activating strategy, work session (guided and independent practice) summation, reminders and homework. It's a little excessive but you could put some of those on your white board.
You should put a curtain on that self next to the goal getters bulletin board! Just an idea!
You could tape of goals for the day. Also can you do a room tour when you are done?

With the cardboard shelf’s you can put there names on the lines and the u can but there mail in there and at the end of the day the pick up the mail and put it in there folders
Did someone turn the wood bowls for you? My dad turned hundreds of bowls and he really liked doing the natural edge bowls like you had.
On the desk top you should do marble wall paper or something like that

An idea for the tape spot on your board: If you're and ELA teacher, you can put a Reading and Writing column and say Today I am going to....and put what you are going to teach for that day. It should be in the perspective of the students, so if the students are reading it, it is said towards them. Totally up to you though.
