Plant Themed Classroom Setup 2020 🌿 (The Day Before School Starts Vlog!!!)

- I vlog my last day decorating and setting up my classroom before school starts. My classroom is full of plants and I decorated it with greenery and simple/earthy accents. My classroom is as socially distanced as it can be and I'll share more in my next video about the safety precautions my school and I are taking to keep our students safe.
I am going to offer you some(unsolicited) wisdom I leaned in my 5th year in the classroom. “No is a necessary magic. No draws a circle around you and says I have given enough”. If you are asked to manage your school’s social media and shoot videos when you already overwhelmed, protect your energy and say no. It feels impossible but if it’s that vital, someone else can step up once in a while. I often felt taken advantage of because I couldn’t say no. I ran family nights and other school events when I was drowning in my own work. No can be really wonderful.

As a child the overly bright classrooms gave me headaches. I absolutely love your classroom. It’s pleasing to look at, and I could imagine getting a lot of quality work in! Great job

Her aesthetic is #classroomGoals. Thats what I am trying to go for with my classroom set up videos. I also can not keep plants alive, but I am trying to this year.. not the year with covid. I am never in the classroom. Poor plants!

I understand being a teacher can be stressful and challenging especially during this hard time. A lot of teachers are underpaid, you might be one of them, having to find ways to make more money, that can be really stressful with all the work in your back. We appreciate everything you do for children and their families! Ps. Love love love that ur room has lots of greenery!!

Where do you get your greenery? Since my freshman year of college I’ve purchased real plants and I have some that I will be using in my classroom (with student roles including watering the plants themselves). I would love to include some cute faux plants as well!🌱❤️

I'm taking notes from your setup vids lol, I like the subtle incorporation of plants. I will have to get some for my room and post an updated room tour! You can see from my current room tour I am attempting the plant theme with plant wall decals and fake vines, but noting beats the real thing! Does anyone have advice on how to keep plants alive at school?

I listened to a podcast a while back and they talked about how having greenery in the classroom reduced stress and that students from classrooms with plants even had less sick days than students from classrooms that didn't have plants. So cool!! Glad to help :)

Hi! So I’ve been on classroom set up side of TH-cam and I’m going into 8th grade. I think a good quote could be something inspirational to them. I know a lot of my friends are scared to go back and some of them are going back because online school wasn’t the best thing. You could look on Pinterest and look for quotes there! The only quote I can think about is super basic that all teachers use. Anyways, good luck!

You remind me so much of my old 9th grade Medical Science Teacher, it’s not even funny. You look and act very similar to her lol. Your personality is so great and you seem so fun. I loved when I had great math teachers because it made it so much more fun and easier. I love your content and you’re doing a great job! I have a idea I reed it in another channel so you put tape in the floor where is the tables so if it moved they know where to put it
I have to clean the desks between each period and end up straitening them while I do so, but this may be a better option!
