It has been so snowy and wintery here at our forest home - exactly like this painting! Are you liking the recent winter landscape paintings or do you want a change? Feel free to leave suggestions and requests!
I love this tutorial and your painting is gorgeous!!!. It makes me want to be inside the cozy cabin. Can you please tell me how to add a wisp of smoke as from a fireplace ?. ❤🎉
This is what it was like at our place in BC up until 2 days ago, when it started to melt! Beautifully done! Thank you so much, I love watching your tutorials. You are very true 😊
i loveee your tutorials! i'm rusty, but i just got back into watercolor and i'm about to start this one 🤍 could you drop some ocean/coastal/beach watercolor tutorials that are beginner friendly?
Hi Julia 😊 Just started painting with watercolors and really enjoy watching your turorials. I just bought Winsor Newton mop brush that you link to but I think it looks so much bigger than yours and color of the brush hairs is lighter on mine. Is it the 3/4 you use in your tutorials or is it a smaller one? Thank you in advance for your answer 😊 Best, Louisa from Denmark (Peter, the TH-cam account name, is my husband 😄)
Hi Louisa, I use a variety of brushes but my favourite mop brush is the 16mm 5/8" by Windsor and Newton. The size shouldn't make a difference since the purpose is to cover a large area with wash/water.

Try a few practice wisps with different width paintbrushes on a spare piece of paper before adding it to your painting :)

I try to stick to the season when I'm uploading tutorials but I've got plenty of ocean/beach tutorials on my channel :)
sencillo y muy bonito
Beautiful!! Love this scene😊❤ Thanks for the tutorial!!
Thanks for watching!
I can’t seem to be able to use such big brushes for the pine trees and fine detail like you
Higher quality round brushes have a very fine tip allowing for such details. Perhaps its your brush and not you - either way keep practicing!!
It's beautiful. I learnt so much from this tutorial . Thank you so much 💓 💖
You’re welcome 😊 Thanks for watching!

Very nice🎨
:)
super!
:)
Very nice.......how would white gouache work for the snowy roof?
I use white acrylic paint rather than gouache
White gouache works well👍 You can also get Dr PH Martins bleedproof white

Good day! Good seasonal painting. Have not seen all your videos, do you use masking fluid, gouache?. What wt. Paper? Thank you..
I don't use gouache or masking fluid. I use white acrylic paint for snow details
Use an eradicator brush and magic eraser for the snow on the roof. Not acrylic on a watercolor painting.
That seems like so much more work. Mixed media (acrylic on watercolor) has worked for me for years so I'll keep on with it :)
Hi Julia, not to be nosey, (followed by a completely nosey question), but what do you have tattooed on your finger ?
They're supposed to be mountains but have stretched over the years.

Hey Julia, Nice scene, great video. Did you get my evaluation feedback from my recent download?
Yes thank you so much for your kind review Eric!
Volume is low
I know, I'm sorry!
