This was actually quite a weird game to me. I mean.. going boats, teching them and than adding a single phoenix later? Not selling the rays? I think some of those decisions were questionable. Than again, the opponent was a lot lower in mmr, so i guess it worked well enough.
The one in which you aren't losing the chaff war and having your boats shoot at crawlers instead of overlords. Hard to say chingun is better when realistically his opponent is losing because he's losing the chaff war. Either option would underperform, unless he had HE and/or improved overlords (both of which would prefer launcher overload because they buff the primary attack only)

Look like chin gun is not about clear crawler but take out chaff clear on their side. So your chaf last longer.
In which situations is launcher overload better than chingun, then?
Probably vs mass short range air, like cloaked void Ray.
