I just helped a friend do an upgrade to his line star with the JL roof. My biggest surprise was the RCA cables. They are sealed in a very tough heat shrink and a giant PIA to disconnect from the factory JL amp
@@drpete3 yes definitely wasn’t fun….not terrible after you see exactly where to cut the wax crap all the way around to get them undone . Thanks for watching
I have the exact same machine. Any chance you could line me up with an exact list of the add-on audio gear and a source telling where you bought them from?
For sure! I bought the subs and sub box from Chris Finch of Wetbox (I believe he is based in FL) I then bought two more of the JL Audio 7.7’s that match the original 6 in the roof I also added 2 JL 600/3 amps All JL equipment came from creativeaudio.com Let me know if you have any other questions Subscribe to the channel if you haven’t yet!
I ran a power cord directly to the battery so the switch/radio is hot all the time without having to have the key on. Then I ran two sets of RCA’s (one being the cable that plugs in to the white plug with a remote wire in the bundle as well) hope that helps, thanks for the sub!

Do you have a video on how to hardwire you JL Audio head unit
Are the 7.7 speakers the m3 or m6 version
@@drpete3 If I remember correctly they are the M3’s
How did you get the power wires to the dome lights?
I ran power directly from the battery in the rear up the frame rollcage inside. Then drilled a hole and ran it through the JL roof

Did you add capacitors or a 2nd battery?
I haven’t done either. I did upgrade the factory battery to a Ionic lithium battery.
