- Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers took their 'Southern Accents' tour to Jones Beach on July 14 of 1985. The full audience-filmed concert is on my TH-cam channel, but here's the song "Dogs on the Run" on its own. Enjoy!

The Greatest American Rock and Roll Band Ever!!! This was the 1st TP&HB concert tour I saw back in 85. I was a 20 year old in the Army down in Texas. Saw them in Austin. And this old video footage makes you feel like you are there.
I love that he has different versions of his songs and this one is wonderful. I would have loved to have seen this live.
