    I tried to do this without watching the video. Please do not do that! This video made it so easy, and you will not break pins or damage other parts of the door.

    Thank you so much for this video. My 2009 ML350 door switch was broken for over a year (who needs to lower back windows, anyway? ;) ), as I didn't want to pay Beverly Hills MBZ $750 for the repair. I bought the replacement switch for $40, and following your great instructions (only thing different on my car was that the 2 bolts holding the switch in place, inside the door panel, were a smaller size than the T30, but I actually had the right size tool, so I was able to remove them), I did the repair/switch myself! Works perfectly now, and again, thank you! :)

    I'm having this issue now and just ordered the part which is was only around $45. Just out of curiosity I was looking for a video here on how to do it and your video was the first one to come up. Honestly you are great at explaining how to do the replacement without any confusion and long talks. Very impressive it. Thank you for doing this!!

    I followed the video to replace the liftgate release switch (tailgate open/close switch) A 251 870 63 10 9051 in my 2008 ML320 driver side door. At the point in the video where the link to the door handle is about to be disconnected it is possible to easily access this switch. The cable connector needs to be disconnected and a single torx screw removed to swap out the switch. Excellent well explained video!

    Your video is superb. My switch replacement became a simple 20 minute job after viewing this. You're the best! Thank You.

    Thanks man! I just replaced mine and the hardest parts were finding the clips on the bottom and unscrewing the damn 3rd screw hole inside the panel, I super glued the screw with the T20 socket to keep it in place it makes it easier putting it back in without dropping the damn thing. One more thing, I forgot to put down the window when I started no wonder I can't put the panel back on top..lol

  • @saskoktz
    @saskoktz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dear Keith
    I have been following your Chanel for a while and I enjoy how easy you make it all look .
    I took your advice on this replacement of this part took the door apart and changed the old broken controller for a new one that costed $25.00 and 1 hour of my time .
    The explanation it’s perfect and I manage to take everything out and put it all back .
    Precision as you said yes it’s important if you wanna fix your old Mercedes .
    Currently I have loss of oil every few weeks I loose around 2 litres of oil .
    Also loss of power the engine run in some sort of low mode change the gears at 2000rpm only and occasionally the power comes back but I can see white smoke when I press the throttle down.
    Any advice with this .
    Thank you
    Sasha

    great video presentation. Any advice for how to power the passenger seat forward when battery dies and possibly seat control module faulty. Which wire to power to get the motor to actuate forward on 2009 ML320

    • @iRepairAutos
      @iRepairAutos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Connect a battery pack to the jump points under the hood. I'll get those wires for you. What's your vin?

    • @darryljenkins3560
      @darryljenkins3560 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iRepairAutos 4JGBB25E99A498043 is the VIN. And yes I jumped it at the under hood points with no luck. Battery has less than 1v. I did a naked jump to cables to get the car into neutral so I could get it off the trailer. But, I need to actuate the seat forward to replace the battery so I can search for the parasitic drain and crank the car. I don't want to cut away any wires or cut the seat out. I would prefer a connector to the seat motor to make a jumper direct to the motor and then use a battery or something direct to motor unless it is faulty.

    I keep resetting the drive window switch over and over again because it doesn’t do the auto-up thing every single time. I would reset the switch and it works fine until I shut the car off and leave. When I come back it works for a few days and stops going up again… Do you think it’s most likely the master window switch or another little square module that sits under the door panel? I have a 2014 GLK 250. I don’t get any codes when I do diagnostics with my Mercedes-specific scanner. Thanks!
