2:07 Thunder made the car dissapear LOL
If you are from Arizona or have visited there a lot, you probably have experienced the awe and might of the unique lightning out there.
The dry air allows the formation of what i call "Machine Gun" Cloud to Ground lightning. During particularly intense storms, the rate of CG hitting the earth is up to 1 bolt per 5 seconds, which puts on a hell of a show. Even smaller storms can unleash brief barrages of CG, bombarding the same geographical area with spectacular fireworks.
Hey, Dan. I wonder if you've filmed anymore big lightning since this was released, and if so, could you please include the thunder? Many of these shots don't include that, and for those who can't see the video, it's the thunder we're waiting for. It tells how close the lightning is. Thank you so much. Also, I know that there's distant lightning, too, and that constant wind during that one storm was amazing! Keep up the great work.
I don't understand how people can find lightning and thunder relaxing. During a bad night storm I can't sleep.
Some people actually love these storms just for the thrill of loud thunder. Then, once they watch the video again, they already know what's coming if they remember the video. It's the rain people love the most. I love them both, as long as I'm inside where I'm usually safe. If it starts getting too much, that's when I get scared, especially when those lightning flashes are followed right after that by thunder.
@@heatherstub fair point.
I actually find raining falling from the sky relaxing but I find watching the thunderstorms awesome to watch.
is it just me or is this somehow relaxing
Not when it blow your ears off and the cat that was sleeping on you transform your face into a bloody steak.
if you find this relaxing then it's very likely you have ASMR ... look it up on google and youtube... there's a whole bunch of people creating ASMR relaxation videos for people like you and me, who find certain sounds and visuals (called 'triggers') relaxing and maybe even tingly... and for many people with insomnia, it even helps them to fall asleep... it seems that storm sounds/visuals are one of your triggers... good luck finding your other relaxation triggers, be it tapping, scratching, brushing, whispering or whatever it happens to be :)
@@Achille12345 Ouch! My cat has to deal with me when I have these horrible jolts at night from an overactive occipital lobe. It's like a lightning bolt inside my head, and it also causes neuralgia like trigeminal neuralgia. She's such a good sport.
I feel like the PlayStation 2 Red Screen of Death is more relaxing than lightning.
Not for joy edyvean because I love lighting strikes very loud it was very close to the house.
Storms like this could help me sleep at night.
it's been 10 years since this video was uploaded
there should be a sequel to this
Truly beautiful compilation of absolute awesomeness
A distant thunderstorm with crickets up close to the mic chirping like all is calm... I've experienced that setting only about a half dozen times over the past 50 years. Those were the best times for experiencing what nature has to offer. I don't know what happened, but ever since 2015 the spring and summer seasons produced no significant storms in my area. In addition, my mother passed away and so did a few close friends within that time. Maybe I'm cursed.
Sorry to hear about your mom and close friends passing. But I don’t think you are cursed. But I do feel your pain because I also feel like the weather in my area has shifted to the east. It is all about the jet stream shifting, so I’m patiently waiting for it to reset. But you can rest assured your not cursed my friend.
That Spider Lightning at around 5:00 is nothing short of AWESOME! ... and extremely rare here in the Northeast. I can only recall once, when living in 'Hamp (Northampton, MA) that we saw anything of the like. The night was hot, the crickets and other summer insects were chirping happily away, and the lightning kept flashing way down in Springfield, and would then shoot all the way across the sky to our north in brilliant high-voltage splendor. And then it was just as awesome to listen to the thunder roll across the entire Pioneer Valley! It went on for hours ... if it weren't for the attacking skitterbugs (mosquitoes), I might have hung out all night! ... nothing can describe how cool that storm was!
I'm so scared of storms like this I'm in Ireland and I always have to hide away from it. But looking at it like this is safer for me but what an amazing collection of of clips of these storms. Fantastic but still scarey 😳🙄😊👏
I really love thunderstorms
I makes me feel alive!
Great video
me too
That makes good sense.
Awesome thunder lightning video!
Awesome compilation!! Just love the bead lightening, so cool to see, thank you so much 👍😀😀😀
An hour of lightning? Yes please!
Beautiful video with SO much lightning, it looks like different area location videos of the same storm, in part of the video at least, from the timer at the bottom? If so, where was it filmed? The shot of the train with lightning behind it was extra cool! Subscribed :)
You will find all this information in the description if you haven't already. Enjoy.
When lightning strikes:
All my sanity: ight, Ima head out
At 18:02, the bottom of this bolt looks pure blue.

This video was SO much fun to watch and to hear! I loved it!
cool lighting storm Awesome super thunderstorm
I can't believe I watched the whole video, it was so fun
P
It's so satisfying to see the lightning strikes after the lightning show in the sky.
You can clearly hear the snap while the close CG bolts strike. Great! :-)
Thor is really having fun
I really love your videos
That's a lot of lightning.
I live on the coast of the Northwest section of the U.S. and we never get big storms or lightning, except maybe once a year or so. So, this was a fascinating display for me. The train and the three crosses and the high bridge were interesting.
Steven Lester I feel your pain... I live in San Diego So.... And we dont even get much rain either... Sad
So far there's a ton of wind distortion over the microphone so you can't hear any thundering & lightening sounds at all, now it's loud rain on a windscreen.
Wow in the first clips you can actually hear the air pop as it expands before the explosion.
Dan the man Robinson. I swear nobody shoots lightening better than him!!
He's also got some amazing tornado footage. Check it out.
SPELLBINDING, OUTSTANDING FOOTAGE!!!
Finally a video to sleep too.
The 3 crosses and the lightning behind was spectacular

Veľmi krásne video s bleskami . Pochvala pre autorov a palec hore .
Sú šikovní a usilovní . Ja by som mal strach fotiť blesky , človek musí byť zvlášť opatrný , aby doňho neudrel.
Ja najradšej fotím krásne vlaky , prírodu a historické pamiatky . No blesky by som radšej nefotil , lebo
je to nebezpečné . Sú nato odvážlivci , ktorí si to priam vychutnávajú naživo , iní sú radšej v prírode a fotia
vlaky a iné krásne záľuby majú.
SIMPLY OUTSTANDING🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
It's like thunder ⚡ lighting I love it ❤️
Why skip past the thunder?
I like this; I just wish there were fewer non-thunder sounds on the recording. Things rattling, windshield wipers, clicks, etc.
WWZenaDo Lol. Only in TH-cam Utopia
54:28 sounds high amp
Definitely :)
There’s a cartoon in which a guy says, “may lightning strike me down”, but his assistant gets struck, instead.

The Night Is Quiet And A Lightning This Is Like Horror Movie
Nice!
Thor is angry
Beautiful and dangeruos traking thunder and uturn ligtining strike
From around 17:00 to 17:33, I hear 6 noises around 5 seconds apart from each other that sound like a repeating "plllop". Each one sounds exactly like the other, and I'm totally blind. Could you please tell me what I'm hearing? (I timed this as best I could by listening to the times indicated posted abovve and below the "play" button on the player features.) It's just not possible for JAWS, my screen-reading software to define what it is like an emoji, which it can define some of them.
I think it is a very short part of a thunderclap slowed down. He repeats a clip of lightning striking a pole and slows it down more each time
@@bucephalus00 Thank you so much.
About 07:30 September 16, 2021 cape cod Massachusetts a severe thunderstorm past over with some close calls. I wished i had my phone with me then..

Hello, I am doing a project for my middle school film making project. I was wondering if I could use scenes and audio from this video. I’ll give you credit of course. Please let me know as soon a possible!
12:17, long dark lonely road with heavy lightning.. Scary!
Yeah, I wouldn't want to be riding my bike down that road at that time. I'd be too scared of being struck.
i hear a lot of snapping in the video. From the CG's i take it ?
