James, I love that you're into planes and carving chisels but I'd have liked a little on those Slicks and their partners. You skimmed them and never once slowed for a single price. I admit a partiality to timber framing but I still love hand tools of all kinds but still beam drills ...
Yup there was way too much to focused. I am mostly looking for others so I tend to focused on the things people have asked me to pick up.

Don't spend too much money! Lol! I would so go broke in a place like that! My husband would go crazy😲😲😲, however I would be in my glory! I had no idea you were going to such an event I wish I had been there live! So many things I would have picked up and examined! Wow! Now that's an experience!

The Northwest collectors will have their National event in Portland Oregon this year in August. We still have not found anyone yet who was willing to host one in California we just need someone who will step forward and do the legwork there to make it happen.

I will shop for some people if you know exactly what you want a head of time and you are an MWTCA member.
If you could find an iron (with a lot of life in it) and a tote (no cracks) for a Stanley 4 1/2 I would pay you extra for them!! A 6,7 tote or iron would fit also. If you keep an eye out I would be in your debt!!
Totes are not as common as most people make their own but all the irons are here. I will try to remember to look.

Any plans for north Louisiana
I have no trips currently planned but I'm hoping to get back to going to tool meets later this year. If you're trying to find one around you Louisiana is kind of a dead zone for hand tools but if you look on handtoolfinder.com you might get lucky.

That would be amazing. The MWTCA is always looking for a new locations to host meets. We just need someone on the ground with access to a location to set it up. I would be glad to do some publicity and possibly drive down for it.

There's one in Madison Georgia the end of January. I'll be there for that one but if you go on handtoolfinder.com I have a map on there of all the locations I know of. Just be warned most people drive four to eight hours to get to one of these meets.

These shows made me realize what a rip-off on-line auctions are. I'm sure those five-dollar planes will be listed on Ebay just the way they are, unrestored for fifty-dollars and up, plus shipping.
