Thanks for the vid. I was about to book the same flight because it had great rates on the miles. Little did I now the 32q 321Neo at American was just a rebrand of the domestic first class. 6 hour flight and no in flight entertainment? No lay flat seat? We're talking transcontinental here ya'll. This is why American is falling so far behind competitors. I'll be booking this leg of my trip with Delta instead. A little extra $ but its worth it. Thanks.
Unbelievable performance from American Airlines once again.
Especially when DL,UA,and LA have wide body options. AA was short sided getting rid of the A330’s prematurely. Now it’s coming back to bite them…

Unfortunately that’s the route American Airlines took with its narrow body aircraft.

I believe it’s because, as I have noticed, most people are on there phones, tablets or computers during the flight. I’m sure they have an app you can download and watch onboard entertainment. Good video btw!

Thanks for the video, I'm looking at the A321neo going from MIA to LIM (starting from BOS) (35K Alaska miles). How was the legroom? I'm at least hoping it is better than the Avainca business class seat.
The legroom was fine. You will have more legroom than Avianca’s Business Class seat on their A320 NEO.

Actually flying to Lima and connecting in Miami. This was extremely helpful. I was going to upgrade but this is like not worth it.

Thanks very much, a really informative video as I'm looking to fly on the A321 from PHL to LAS, which is a similar flight time. What was the recline like of the seat? Is it possible to sleep? Also, lovely shots of the approach into MIA - I love flying into Miami in the early morning.
The recline wasn’t bad. It is possible to sleep but likely easier at night time due to no natural light coming through and I imagine your flight will be a daytime flight so that may depend on what others do with their windows. It can be very peaceful coming into Miami upon daybreak with a beautiful sunrise.
Flying AA soon-will have my tablet, but from the looks of it, you can’t eat and watch at the same time. Disappointing. Another superb video, btw. New to your content, looking forward to more.
Thank you 🙏🏽. Yes that setup is unfortunate. Really wish AA decided against not having IFE on this route. It really isn’t competitive when you have LATAM running widebodies on that route ( 767’s ). If price remained equal I would choose LATAM without question as you would get a lie-flat seat.

It is not a lie flat seat but you will essentially have a Premium Economy seat. For that price I think it is worth it. 2 checked bags yes.

Do they offer alcoholic beverages on this flight in business class? ✈️ Flying from BOI to PHL in a couple weeks and wanted to know more about what to expect. Crazy about the in flight entertainment. Thank you for making this helpful and informative video Brandon!
Yes alcoholic drinks were available on this flight I took. I will be flying a similar length flight soon but on UA who has IFE screens

Latam is way more expensive on that route than AA.
Well offering lay flat seats they should be.
I live in Lima, I fly this route frequently (8-12 x year) Horrible, awful, business class. Not worth the money!!! Not on this route - 6 hours, no screen, wi-fi never works, seat barely reclines, food is sub par. It's not comfy, nor is it cheap. I switched to LATAM a year ago in spite of my years of loyalty to American. The LATAM 767 has a reclining seat, food is good, and there's a screen. Until American stops using this equipment on the LIM-MIA route, I'll stick to LATAM's shabby 767's.
BTW airport in Lima has almost finished building a new international terminal and are a runway capable of handling wide bodied planes, perhaps there's hope for a better flight experience from AA on this route.
American really messed up when they retired it’s A330’s during the pandemic. It was short sighted because with production delays on the 787 they are short wide bodies. It puts them at a disadvantage, and not to mention the process of taking out IFE screens on all narrowbody’s. To me just wasn’t a smart decision. United also provides wide body service on its 767 from IAH and a 757 with lie flat seats from EWR.
I'm an American Executive Platinum 10 years in a row. I live in Boston but travel monthly to Lima to visit friends and family. I had to switch to Delta/Latam due to this awful business class seats and equipment. Delta/Latam have more choices to fly to Lima, pretty much the same price and all their business is lay flat. No more American unless is trans-Atlantic for me.
