      You're welcome and quick tip for not getting it spoiled quickly is to add a plenty of honey and stir. I'm still using the ginger syrup and pickled ginger from a year ago by doing this way but it needs to be refrigerated. Take care and be safe. Many blessings!

    Can you please tell me
    How do you dry your pickled ginger

  • @SimSpark1
    @SimSpark1 ปีที่แล้ว

    I cut it more roughly because i use the peels for drying and making tea. And the sweetones i use for making stirfried foods or cake

    My daughter loves ginger. I think I will be making this for her to put in her pantry because she catches everything that people bring into the dojang (she is the lead mat instructor (not a master yet) at a taekwondo dojang), and I am always trying to find vegetarian ways of keeping her healthy. She used to eat just chicken and I found that when I make Rosemary Chicken and Rice Porridge it cured her in a day or so. I can not wait to see more of your recipes. I have even used some of your recipes for my own health conditions. Than again, I love all types of Korean foods. I do have a question though...If I made this ginger for myself, what could I use instead of sugar or raw honey? I am not allowed either of them. I like sweet things more over then sour but I get along well with vinegar, is that an option? Will it do the same as the honey and sugar?

      There's another way to use ginger to use everyday by using Raw Organic Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar. I've made a video before this one and it shows the one with so many different ingredients but you can do it with just a few ingredients like ginger, turmeric root, garlic and onion. All these type of food helps with immune system and digestion improvement so I suggest vinegar instead of sugar or honey. For your daughter, since she's exposed to a lot of people, I would add turmeric roots together with the ginger because ginger over takes the turmeric root smell and you will get the benefit of turmeric root. Try to find out the health benefits of turmeric root and add that to your pantry. I may make a quick video on how to incorporate turmeric root powder into Korean recipes since we don't use it traditionally but I use turmeric in almost all my recipes at home. It's a great way to sneak in some super healthy ingredients into your diet. I hope this helps and you can email me privately if you have a questions about making special diet recipes. Take care and be safe. God bless you and your daughter.

      @@ommaskitchen Thank you so much for the advice and the the quick reply. I will try out your suggestion(s) for my pantry and give my daughter your recipe and a jar of the ginger syrup. I will be looking forward to your future videos and watch the ones that I have not gotten to watch that are already on youtube.

      Hello friend,
      Thank you for the comment. 😊
      I’m sorry that I have been neglecting the channel and hopefully I can start making videos soon. I’ve been taking care of my mom since my dad passed away and she’s received all of my time and energy. She’s diabetic, dementia, sundowner and now her doctor wants her to get dialysis. Thanks to taking care of my mom, I learned to cook diabetic friendly recipes which I am looking forward to share with my TH-cam friends.
      Take care and God bless you. 😊

    Using honey with ginger you get candied ginger. For pickles you need an acid like vinegar and sugar.

    The word I think you were searching for was “viscous” with regard to sugar versus honey.

  • @kamikazitsunami
    @kamikazitsunami 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can layer honey and the slices into the jars instead of having to mix in the bowl. The way you are doing it is just an extra step and it's more mess.
