- The longest video yet - How to Remove the dashboard on your Ford Festiva!

This video in particular shows a 1990-93 Dash, but the process is almost identical for 88/9 dashes, as well as most dashes outside of the US. This should also apply to RHD Mazda 121 Dashboard removal and Kia Pride dashboard removal.

there's a few differences in the right hand drive versions, mainly the steering column plastics and that metal bar under it

The ONLY problem i had when I removed mine, after install I had no brake lights. Dropping the column down pulled on the wires going to the brake light switch and it became unplugged.

Would I need to unplug the speedometer cable if I’m just changing the lights on dash
Yes, if the cluster is being pulled, the speedo cable needs to be disconnected
Can I unlock the ignition switch lock by doing this?
The steering lock can be undone by just removing the ignition cylinder, it's 2 headless bolts
Where can i find the cabin filter?
There is no cabin filter on a Festiva

I work on my own stuff and some with friends, I'm not really a shop so I don't have customer cars per se

Almost haha. The car is Jordans, he's a young & pretty new Festiva owner I met at the meet I host. He bought this as a rust free running shell basically to build into a nice, quick festiva. I offered to help him build it in my garage and offer my expertise, and then film as we fixed things to start growing the channel
