Awww...Lady's doing well, but seems very distracted even while obeying & falling into her previous duties!! I am surprised Bree didn't react more! So precious!! Lady & Bill make a handsome team. I just never tire of watching your beautiful horses!!
What a pretty foal Bree is she has a real presence about her. Lady and Bree are coping well with being separated for the first time. Your garden is looking good Bill seemed pleased to be back working with his best friend Lady😊
So nice to see the Slow Moving Vehicles triangle signs on your hay wagons . As a member of the motorized public its a big plus for me and hopefully others .
Hi Jim, Brenda. Great Video! So nice to see Lady & Bill together again. Bree, did very good while her mom was busy with Bill. Brenda, your garden look great! Everything is coming along so good. Thanks for having me on your beautiful farm, Jim, Nova Scotia Canada.
Well, I don't know what you fed Lady and I don't know what Lady fed Bree, but I am sure she grew a foot since the last video ! Thanks for showing us more great horse stories. Have a good week end.
It's such a pleasure to see BREE and LADY and to see your videos of them and all your horses. Thank you so much for the great videos. Love all of them and to see the great horsemanship of you ,Jim. 😂
Brenda & Jim, another great video. With all the news going on in the world, we can set that aside and get rid of the stress by watching Lady & Bill back working together again & Bree is growing so quickly. What beautiful lashes she has!! Good to see dad as well...your videos are so well done. Thank you!!!
My goodness Bree has grown so much since we last saw her. What a precious filly!! It is going to be so fun watching her grow up. Would not miss a video. Keep posting videos of BREE
Haven't watch for a little while, but would like to say how fantastic Bree and lady look, Bree is going to be a real power house when she is fully grown, all look really well and shine UK
What a great video today !! Bree has started to grow up and behaved well when her mama went to work with Bill. Lady seems to have done well for her being back at "work" !! Bree seemed to enjoy Brenda's brushing and it wasn't long before Bree was nursing with her mother. Loved it !!
Homestead Horsemanship sent me to your channel because he watches your channel and recommended you. I follow Homestead Horsemanship because he keeps and trains horses. He is going to be training a 2 year old Clydesdale horse named Oliver. This is the first time he is going to be training a Clydesdale. I am glad he recommeded your channel and I look forward to seeing your draft horse videos.
Lol good morning; I love the way Bree's lips quiver when Brenda hits the itchy spots with the curry. You can tell she likes it. (PS have you tried shopping around for a species of parasitic wasp to prey on all those flies? I used to use them in my paddock many years ago; I found them quite effective.)
I always used parasitic wasps from Spauldings out of Calif. They’re not stinging wasps, you can hardly see them when they hatch . Worth a try around the barn.
Can't believe how good Bree was & watching her look out for mama to come back was so cute!! What a good girl!!! Lady handled like a trooper & knew her job & ready to do a lil work!! Nice to see it went SO well. Brenda, your garden looks amazingly YUMMMMMY.....I am trying Garlic salt blocks for horses. Hoping it will help the flies here too!! Just started it so we'll see how it goes .....God Bless
thanks for spend these pictures with us. Bree looks like a little lady and you ll proud of her, I would - she is beautiful and lady seems to be happy already going for work.
I can't wait to see what colour Bree turns out to be. Those patches that are coming through look even darker than Baron is, though that might be partly down to how very pale her foal coat is. Bill and Lady do make a very elegant-looking team!
I've sure missed seeing you all for the last week. I was so worried you were experiencing flooding in your area, or someone wasn't feeling well. It was sweet hearing Lady and Bree "talking" back to each other. Gosh, little Bree has grown a bunch in the week you didn't have a video! Lady may not have bagged up much, but she certainly has good nourishing milk for Bree!!!❤ Brenda, your garden is beautiful! Hope this planting of beans will take off and grow/produce well. You all have a wonderful weekend!!! P.S. How much longer before you will know if Lady is pregnant?
Hello Chris from Tennessee in the USA!👋 Hope you are doing well. It was really nice when you got to visit with Jim and Brenda recently! Take care and hope you have a very nice weekend!😘
@@territn8871 Hi Terri, thanks for your very nice comment! I'm fine, got a little bit behind with some things, but I managed to catch up again 😊 It was really a great time over there that I will always remember 😊 Now I have to continue exercise my mare. You too, have a very wonderful weekend! -Chris
Bree was a good girl when Lady was working. 😀 It was fun to watch Bree trying to figure out how to nurse with Lady in harness. Lady was the well-trained workhorse I thought she would be. Brenda, your garden looks so nice. Sorry about the green beans. I enjoy seeing the chickens roaming around. I am happy you were not a part of the rain deluge in the East. 🙂🙂🙂
Wow Bree is really growing and I can see that she loves to be brushed. Standing quite well with out her momma. I kept looking for new videos all week didn't realize how much I have gotten attached to seeing them on a regular basis. Another great video and Brenda your garden looks great. God bless and keep safe
Bree did really well! I've worked with Quarter Horses, & as good as their temperaments are (generally) they wouldn't do as well leaving their baby. Draft horses have such great, mellow temperaments. I think Lady did well. Jim knows his horses very well! Funny seeing Bree check out the harness. I see Lady's pinned her ears a little, but she's a mare around geldings😉 Brenda, your garden & flowers are gorgeous! I bought bush bean seeds (off brand) this year at my local hardware store & they only had about 10% germination. I wonder what's up with them? Another great video❤️
One hint for really buggy summers is to keep your barn as dark inside as possible by hanging old blankets over windows and doorways. Splitting doorway blankets in two allows the horses to brush off the flies as they enter and the flies don’t like the dark. Bree and Lady are an amazement - so accepting of new situations.❤️
Yes ,when I was young I had a horse that had a weeping eye. It didn’t bother her except in the hot summer when flies would irritate it.We would keep her in the dark barn in the day and let her out to graze in the night. This is before fly masks were a common thing.
This is what they do on Friesian Horses channel. Foals learn to tie and wait while mares do some work. Colts all sold off, fillies are raised, trained to saddle and harness, and sold aged, often as a 3 in one package, that is, in foal w foal at foot. Great to see lady back in work. Foals learn that mum will return, until one day she doesn't!
So good to see Bree do so well waiting but then all those bits of training must pay off. She trusts her humans and has followed Jim outside enough to know mom comes back into view again! What a great working bunch you have 😊!
Brenda, you have a immaculate garden! They make a bug spray called Bugg Spray that uses rose scent etc that works very well in the woods that I put on my dog and me that is organic and works as good as insecticides
Wow Lady and Bree did good being separated for a while. Bree is so pretty. Seems she has a good disposition. I hate those darn flies yuk😮 thanks for the video and garden tour. I’m in so Florida and all I have left is one cherry tomato and some herbs. Too hot 😊
I agree with Jim about having the fial learn to stand tied, while mom works. And mom can focus on work and not qiry about the foal❤. Brenda you are great with Bree getting used to being groomed and handled. First day at school for Foal.
Hi Jim and Brinda, this is a good practice. Colts can get excited and create unsafe problems. When a Colt gets older One can tie them alongside the Mare in some situations where they can start leering commands
I am glad that went well! Bree is so athletic, she looks bigger than a lot of ponies already! She is so muscular. I think Lady and Bill look very nice together! Bree behaved super well to have her mom taken away. I wonder what color she will end up?? Maybe dark red? :)
Hi Jim and Brenda , so glad you are doing well and not having to put up with the Awful Weather in Vermont,on a short note I have a suggestion about the nasty horse flys, ask your vet about Mallawash, you dilute it with water and either spray it on or apply it with a brush or cloth cheers for now and keep up your great videos kindest regards Peter McFarlane Adelaide Australia xxxxx
hi. so happy to see lady an Brei. i had to miss lady foaling. do u have that clip. i really have been following u guys forever. i remember growing up with work horses. hv ridden These horses an on a Shire. i hv a had a polish Arab mare. she is 17 now. how time passes quickly!
this kind of training is remarkable. the foal changing colors is interesting. And just the "normal" adjusting of the harness just seems like normal work around the barn. Even Brenda's question about Lady going back to work is a work around the barn kind of question
I was just watching a video about the Swedish Ardennes draft horses. They actually let the foal accompany the mother during work, so the harness and equipment are part of the foals experience before they ever work. 💜
My home bug remedy is mixed in a large spray bottle.1 /3 cup lemon juice , 7- drops lavender oil. 1 tsp dawn dish soap. Fill the spray bottle with water shake well and apply as needed. Safe for man or beast. Works great.
Wow, your garden is doing well Brenda. 😊👍👍 My green beans have come up pretty sparse too. July is my favourite month. Glad Bree is doing ok away from Lady.❤️
PG here Great to have you back, I pray everything is going well for you, your family, neighbors, church, farm, and the horses. You were missed. I did a lot of extra praying for you this week. This is Friday, July 14th, checked for the video first thing. Bree sure is starting to show her muscular shape. The changing color is odd. Brenda one year you used skin so soft on the horses, did that work on the flies? Essential Oil Lemon oil is what I use to keep biting flies off. Straight up. Lemon Grass is quite common of a weed around here. You can wipe their smell into things.
Awww...Lady's doing well, but seems very distracted even while obeying & falling into her previous duties!! I am surprised Bree didn't react more! So precious!! Lady & Bill make a handsome team. I just never tire of watching your beautiful horses!!
I've had your calendars for the past 3 years & I just love them!
What a pretty foal Bree is she has a real presence about her. Lady and Bree are coping well with being separated for the first time. Your garden is looking good Bill seemed pleased to be back working with his best friend Lady😊
taking care of your horses is amazing. my prayers are that All Horses are to have forever homes.
Can not get over how fast Bree has grown. wow. Garden looks awesome
The first year is insane. My mare got a baby shire and he`s already 16hands at 11 months old. You can see him on the Social Shires channel
😊çffd
So nice to see the Slow Moving Vehicles triangle signs on your hay wagons . As a member of the motorized public its a big plus for me and hopefully others .

What a cute and funny reaction Bree has to Lady's harness
Loved watching Brees and Lady's reactions to her mom going to work.😊
Bree is very well put together. Lady is a typical working mum always the double shift of work and mothering.
Well, I don't know what you fed Lady and I don't know what Lady fed Bree, but I am sure she grew a foot since the last video ! Thanks for showing us more great horse stories. Have a good week end.

Yes! I thought my eyes or my memory was deceiving me! Indeed, Bree HAS grown a foot!
Brenda & Jim, another great video. What an amazing life you lead, doing things the old way. The horses are so lovely. ❤
Jim i love how you teach your horses! It makes total sense
I am always amazed how docile such a big animal can be while being harnessed. It was good to see Bill and Lady together again as a team.
I love how Lady is always listening
And watching..... I call her the escape artist as she always seems to get out of her stall and run to see if a door is open.... Hilarious
Bree is getting big . Bill definitely missed lady . And lady is looking great also . Can't wait to see more . Great video as always.
Bree is growing so fast as the halter now fits her😱 She looks amazing. ❤
Haven't watch for a little while, but would like to say how fantastic Bree and lady look, Bree is going to be a real power house when she is fully grown, all look really well and shine UK
Bree is very well muscled for a young filly. Looking very nice. Good to see Lady back in action!
Love seeing how you slowly you make changes. Bree is sure growing fast. Blessings
What a great video today !! Bree has started to grow up and behaved well when her mama went to work with Bill. Lady seems to have done well for her being back at "work" !! Bree seemed to enjoy Brenda's brushing and it wasn't long before Bree was nursing with her mother. Loved it !!
It is easy to be brave when Jim and Brenda are there.❤❤❤.

I think she's going to end up a deep chestnut called a liver chestnut. They can be so dark they appear black.
she is getting so big i am loving watching brie grow up
Really enjoyed to see the two of them work together ❤
So good to view the new video. Been checking every day even though I’m notified when a new one comes out. I must be addicted. 😀😀😀
Lots of us addicted

The hitch up with Lady and Bill reunion would be good for next year calendar.
Great idea!
Just look at the coats on those two Colts bet you could shave in that shine as are all your horses a credit to you and the care you give them
Wow, it looks like Bree has almost doubled in size for the last four weeks. Same for your garden, Brenda 😁 Have a beautiful evening! -Chris

Thanks for the Memories Brinda, this is apically enjoyable for me, My Grandad John had Wonderful Gardens like this.
Bree did really well! I've worked with Quarter Horses, & as good as their temperaments are (generally) they wouldn't do as well leaving their baby. Draft horses have such great, mellow temperaments. How nice for Bree to watch it all🥰🥰
Good way for Bree to learn--by watching.
Bree is a cute little chunk, i like seeing her muzzle go as she's enjoying her brushing

Really good to see lady and Bill hitched
Wow your garden looks lush
I’m glad y’all are back. Bree is lookin good..
"Barrie" Love it. Thank you so much for these videos! They bless me.!

Lady is concerned but obediently taking orders . Bree is wondering where is my mom? Both Mom and baby doing great for first separation.
So good to see Bree do so well waiting but then all those bits of training must pay off. She trusts her humans and has followed Jim outside enough to know mom comes back into view again! What a great working bunch you have 😊!
Beautiful garden!
Hi Jim & Brinda, nice, to see Lady in Harness again. Bree can be a tag along in a while when she gets a little older, have a wonderful day.
Brenda, you have a immaculate garden! They make a bug spray called Bugg Spray that uses rose scent etc that works very well in the woods that I put on my dog and me that is organic and works as good as insecticides
