Porsche 916 --- Final Drive

The 2015 Werks Reunion Winner 916 recently sold but before it left, we took it for a drive to ensure it was all sorted. Its 3.8L 964 based DME makes 330 HP and is mated to a 915 tail shift transaxle. This tribute is taken to the next level with full steel roof and steel fenders.

My grandfather was Colonel Hartvigsen who brought back the #1 916 from Germany to the US. Funny enough, my mom and her siblings sold the car with his other Porsches to a mechanic that ended up being a family friend on my dads side. We didn't put it all together until after the car had been sold to the current owner that restored it a few years ago.
