Thanks. Brings back fond memories of my childhood. Ok it's changed a lot since my childhood but can still many old land marks. Big thanks from one happy old man.

I worked in Louth for many years. Pleased to see Lakings and Eve and Ranshaw still there.

Sad to say that Eve and Ranshaw has recently closed. It was announced in January and closed its doors in March 2023.

I left Louth in 1970, and it was lovely to tootle about and see the familiar and the much-changed. I will explore your channel, maybe you have done this, but I would love to see the sights down Church Street -- including St Michael's and the site of the old primary school and along Monk's Dyke, to the high school. My family lived on Kenwick Road, used to cycle to Cawthorpe and The Splash. I have so many memories of the 1960s there. Thank you for this video, it has been a delight.

Thank you for the feedback. Leave it with me. I will do another video of some different parts of Louth when get chance. I haven’t covered that part of the town yet. I have been thinking about doing a cycle video of the surrounding villages including Legbourne and Little Cawthorpe.

I soon will be moving to a village near to Louth from Bucks. I was a bit nervous, but your videos gave me so much confidence and excitement! Thank you, cannot wait to start the new chapter near to Louth ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you for sharing 😊

Thank you for your lovely comments. Louth is a beautiful rural market town. I was brought up here and moved away to a large city a few years ago for work then came back to Louth. I have no regrets whatsoever moving back here. I don’t miss the rat race…

Thank you so much for the tour of Louth . I was born and grew up in that beautiful town but now live down in Bournemouth Dorset. This footage was beautifully done Lee . I still have friends who live there and watching this makes me want to go and visit them . There's even been celebrities who have lived or still live there as in the Scottish singer Barbara Dickson , Corinne Drewery lead vocalist with Swing out Sister . Keep up the good work Lee . I really enjoyed going down memory lane .

@Endless Nameless Thanks for your reply Endless Nameless . You type that my name rings a bell. Without knowing your proper name I'm not sure who I'm messaging , however I did go to Monks Dyke High School and left Louth in 1990 to move down South . I used to work in the Cellars Wine 🍷 Bar opposite the town hall .

Keep up the good work showing off the town. Particularly like the little editing details. Maybe consider dubbing the commentary on in post if you want to lose that spike in background noise though.

Thank you for the comment. Good point about dubbing the commentary. I struggled with car noise and my microphone is very directional. I managed to get rid of the wind noise this time but have to speak right in front of the camera with the media mod microphone or it blanks the noise which I then had to try and equalise the levels to get the speech louder but brings the noise up too sadly where I was slightly behind the camera. It’s all a learning curve.

I’m surprised they shut the railway station down many years a go…

It’s a real shame. The old station has been converted to homes.
