Oh it happens, my apartment burned down a couple of years ago. I was supposed to go into to work at three. By 2:50/2:55 my apartment was on fire. I called my boss while everything I owned was burning. And told her I wasn't coming in. The next day she told me that I really should've of come in to work because the apartment was already on fire and there was nothing I could do about it. So I should of just come into work. I looked at her like the idiot she was. I had my two boys the only thing I was interested in was hugging my kids and trying to figure out my next move.

Not only did she lose all her furniture in the fire, but just the thought that she could have lost her son is enough to be upsetting to any caring mother. The defendant also seems like a very angry & aggressive guy from his behavior in the courtroom to his behavior on the video, and didn’t seem to have much compassion at all. THAT SAID, the case comes down to the law. The fire was caused by animals nipping at the wire, and that is an act beyond the control of the defendant, and without renter’s insurance, it is what it is. Sad, but I hope that she and the sister can move forward well.
