- In this episode, we are exploring a world-famous fishing and camping spot in Northland. We are at the Wagener / Houhoura Heads Holiday Park, right at the entrance to the Hohoura Harbour. This fishing spot is insanely good. One of New Zealand's top fishing destinations.
Besides checking out this amazing place we were also on a little side mission to catch Kahawai for the first-ever Kahawai Classics competition at the Hohoura Big Game Fishing Club.

We are good thanks you! I'm in Australia at the moment visiting my family. Till is still at the campsite enjoying when he can go out on the kayak when it's not raining. I'll be back on Tuesday to Northland. Love the video how cute is scrumpie. Take care 🙂💜🐟🦈

hi! great video. Is the estuary deep to cross if you want to get to the entrance of the harbour? Is it also tidal influenced? eg only accessible at low tide

Love this place. We also had trumpet the cat come and sleep with us. We will be back up there February-March next year.

Thanks mate. Yeah you should check it out. I didn't use the drone this time, no need for it. Surfcasting is very productive. It's not far to head over to the 90 mile beach from there. That could be a good spot for drone fishing.

카약이 더 나으실꺼에요! 더 안정감있고 바람영향도 덜 받으시니까요! 패들보드는 서서 낚시를 하는거라 패들보드에 익숙해지기까지 시간이 좀 더 필요해요! 저희는 유럽에서 호수나 강에서 낚시 할때 인플레이더블 카약으로 했거든요! 오래전 비디오에 리뷰한게 있어용! 근데 인플레이더블 카약은 바다낚시에서는 좀 더 튼튼하고 안정감있는 제품으로 하셔야 할꺼에요!

이번주 금요일 부터 Houhora Lodge 에 숙박 하면서 시간 보내는데, 추가로 여기 Houhora 캠핑장도 예약해서 낚시를 해볼까 하는데, Houhora wharf 보다 여기 Entarance 가 낚시가 더 잘 될까요? 아니면 최근 영상 업로드 하신 Rangiputa Beach 에서 해루질 하면서 낚시 하는 게 나을까요? 한국에서 낚시 하시는 분들 여러분 와서 같이 가는데, 장소가 고민입니다 ㅠㅠ Houhora 근처 낚시나 해루질 추천 좀 부탁 드립니다.
오호! Houhora에 Trevally 엄청 많이 나와요! 시간대 잘 맞으면(incoming tide) 하버입구 말고 보트램프 왼쪽으로 좀 더 걸어가시면 마커가 나와요 저희 비디오에서 제가 스내퍼 루어로 잡았던 곳이요 거기 시도해보세요! 사람들이 많이하는 하버 입구는 카하와이가 많이 잡히구요! 와프도 많이 잡히긴 한데 사람두 많구 때를 잘 잡으셔야 하는거 같아요!
