- Hello! Today we are watching a quiz that will require you to strain your memory. It's quite difficult if you haven't played the game. You need to guess the characters by their ascension materials! All three are presented in the video. I chose images for the characters' ascension at a high level. I hope everyone was able to guess their favorites. Share your thoughts in the comments!

I can’t tell if the quiz is just easy or I’m absolutely obsessed that I know every single characters ascension mats…

If you look at the Genshin materials often enough and know what each of them mean, it would be pretty easy.

Best weapon sucks because a lot of character have the same best weapon and depending on what you want to build it will also vary.
Signature weapon is easy for people who knew the banner.Maybe the colour of their clothing guessing?Of course you can leave out some of the color and replace the with“?“

I love how ive been farming for yanfeis ascension materials for like 2 weeks and i still got her wrong
it’s pretty simple if you use the local specialty and character ascension material to work out which nation and element they are :)
I would like signature weapons too! But I am also a bit worried, bc signature weapons are not fixed stats, what if the comments section burst into arguments 😢

I struggled a bit on Hu tao, because it's been months since I raised her and forgot what the local speciality it needed.
The cecilia made it so obvious but I completely forgot Venti exists lol
Mona and Barbara was so confusing, I wasn't sure which one was first.
And I didn't got Diluc, Amber, Bennett, Kaeya. It was a nice challenge :)
missed Albedo cuz i thought only Venti used cecilias, Amber and Kaeya cuz they've been lvl80 for a year and i forgot their mats, and Bennett cuz I forgot he's pyro somehow
I don't know anything about ascension, but I guessed most of them right by how well it matches the character.
Shows my knowledge as a F2P player. All my characters I've levelled I knew. The rest... Not clue lol
As a Diluc main who spent hours of farming for sergeants insignia and purpose seeds I can tell you as soon as I saw the insignia I knew it was Diluc
theres multiple characters that need insignias
when u need to beat up ppl from the same organization as you to level up

It's so funny how Childe needs his own boss materials to upgrade talents.
What's even funnier with Childe is that technically all of the fatui in Liyue are his subordinates. Like imagine your own boss killing you for your emblem.
10/47 i got beidou, yanfei, kaeya, noelle, raiden, sucrose, barbara, zhongli, razor and xiangling. (im a new player lol)
That was actually really fun!!! It was mostly a guessing game with the second two. The region specialty and the boss material usually gave it away. But I was dumb and forgot klee exists… she’s on my team and I had to farm for her…. Made me rethink my brain juice a little
44/47, i didn’t recognise keqing, chongyun and rosaria’s
Forgot Xinyan, messed up Hu Tao, thought both Kaeya and Rosaria's were Eula.
Got all right , Remembered the answers to these questions more than I remember the solutions to questions in my exam 😳

I liked this quiz bc now I know what characters I should go for in the future..
I managed to get most right but 6 wrong because either I can't think of a character that I haven't said yet, or theit ascension mats are very confusing. Take shenhe for example, she uses a local specialty from liyue but boss mats from enkanomiya

46/47 I tend to forgot Aloy's even in the game since I shoot all the birds down from a distance XD

I didn't even get Aloy so I was so confused on why a character was using Inazuma items but had a Mondstadt Character ascension item because nobody in Inazuma uses anything outside of Inazuma

Honestly it's easy if you know the local speciatlites region on the map. It cuts down the guesses into thirds. Then the element represents boss drops so it's rather simple in concept
Yeah, it's surprisingly easy to go through most of them aside from the ones who use boss mats that don't signify an element like either of the Vishap pieces or the pieces from that machine in Inazuma, plus certain characters are the only ones using certain items like Childe, Razor, Thoma, and Sara.
Got them all! I've spent the past month or so ascending all the ones I have, so the memories are still fresh. Did have to pause for the ones that I don't have, but still correctly guessed.
Tbf this is kinda easy, Genshin tends to assign 1 boss material to 2-3 characters only (early characters are an exception) and with the local speciality you can guess which one it is
My only mistake was Mona (I said Barbara)

Even though I don't know the character's ascension materials, I was still able to look at them and guess, I even got some right just by looking at them
For example: Xiao, Shenhe and Ganyu all need Qingxin as an ascension material which makes sence since from the lore, Xiao and Ganyu are adepti and Shenhe was raised by one
Even though I only got 16, out of those 16 I only knew 3. And I was able to mostly guess where the character was from by their Local Specialties
I find it really cool on how even if you don't remember the character itself who uses those materials, you're still able to guess just by knowing a little about either its nation and/or it's character
let me make it easier for you guys who dont know the character and want to just guess :
common item : usually doesnt help
local specialties : which nation theyre from/we meet them
ascension mat : element(in most cases)
Common ittem usually help in what type of weapon the character uses

There’s a trick if you guys don’t know the local specials define the region and ascension material the elements most of the time
Unrecognized only two. Mona because of the fact that she and Barbara are very similar. And I just don't remember Dione.
I’ve tried to ‘prepare’ or atleast attempt to build some of these characters so I know quite a bite of their ascension mats, the rest I know bc I actually have them and farmed them
I literally grab and prefarm everything so when I level up characters I don't even look what I need cuz I have too much of everything. So this is the first genshin quiz I fail more than the half ._.
i only missed aloy, mona, keqing (so mad at myself for this as she was my first 5*), and yun jin!
I missed four. I fumbled on Qiqi. I missed on Ayaka and said Gorou instead because I knew they both need PMA boss drop. I didn’t even think about Diluc because neither me or my friends have him or like him that much. I also missed on Aloy because I forget she is a character in this game.
I only missed Xiao, Diluc, Qiqi, Yun Jin, and Kaeya so 42/47
So uh... it's really weird getting them all right. There are some tricks to it though. The biggest clues I feel are the local specialties and the ascension material. Local specialty will tell you... mostly where the character is from, and the ascension mat will tell you the element. Most of them are pretty easy honestly. Some overlap though. Diona and Kaeya both share specialties and ascension mats, but I don't think there's any non bow user that takes arrowheads, and I remember clearly having to fight for treasure hoarder insignias when leveling Kaeya.
Kinda forgot about Albedo's common material, but I know his specialty since Cecilias make perfect sense for him when you think about his story, and the Basalt means geo so it's not Venti. Forgot Hu Tao's mats, but because there are only 3 characters right now that take the geo vishap drop, it had to be Hu Tao. Yanfei and Beidou are the only ones who take the Noctilucous Jade, and Xiao takes Qingshin flowers, so Hu Tao's the only one left. You can kinda figure out one by process of elimination if you don't know one.
I was so confused on the alloy one because there was a regional disparity, but then yeah its just aloy
I got them all right which really goes to show I do absolutely nothing in my life except play this game 8 hours a day-
44/47. I tripped up on Hu Tao, Sucrose, and Albedo lol
got all of them except keqing (who i accidentally confused w/ beidou) and aloy who i just straight up forgot existed lol. i've leveled most of these chars and it's kind of easy to tell by two of the three mats tbh lol

You should do this again but one of the materials is missing and we have to guess what the missing material is. I think this will make it a little harder.
Cheat guide for anyone wanting to know exactly without having the characters like me
Ascension boss materials- elemental bosses usually have the same element as the character’s vision
Local specialty are assigned for where the character their from or introduced in,
Basic enemy materials are usually hit or miss but it’s used with a group they more would associate with
I missed Qiqi and Xinyan. Nearly missed Klee because I was so sure that only Mona and Barbara used Philanemo.
Not me completely forgotten Fischl and Amber's existence when trying to remember other Mondstadt Pyro and Electro characters.
Also will there ever be another character who uses those wolf berries and the star conches because I have so many of those star conches and my Childe only needs like a third of them at best

Forgot aloy’s existence
I got all of the characters I personally own and some that I researched except diluc and kazuha.
Diluc I understand, since I hate him and never looked into his mats, but I'm literally raising Kazuha rn how did I forget he used those weird blue water stuff
I'm pretty sure I got only like 7 correct but I wrote a lot of passive aggressive notes towards the characters whenever the mats seemed too similar and that's a lot of counting
I got perfect!! Almost got mistake on Barbara and Mona, Kaeya and Diona coz they have both boss mats and the regions specialty so I kinda guessed which one of the two with back up evidences because of pain I experience while farming mats for four of them since I leveled them 4 up when I am new

tbh this is pretty easy as long as u remember what region each local specialty is and what charas came out when each boss was added. After that it’s just shutting off who it atleast it isn’t 😅
The only one i didn’t get was albedo cus i completely forgot he even existed lol
What I don't like is how Shenhe and Yun Jin use inazuma materials to ascend. Evem though they live in Liyue 😑
I mean TECHNICALLY the pyro regisvine, the geo hypo, Oceanid, Childe and Azhdaha are all in Liyue, sooo shouldn't this logic work with Mondstadt characters as well? /j i don't wanna start an argument lol

got all right except Ganyu bc somehow i forgot about her existence at all. yeah, i don't have her but Ganyu is a common character in coop. welp, that happens XD
also was confused with Zhongli since i never ever even opened his materials to look so had no idea he needs corlapis as Chongyun and Keqing ,_,
well, now i know. better for me i skipped him thrice, I would be mad farming for him (this geo hypo still the most hated boss after i raised Albedo year ago)

the problem with this quiz is that i dont have most of the chacaters like zhongli or ganyu (to look at their ascension materials to grind them up) but i did guess most of the chracters i have ( except the starter 4 stars characters excluding lisa)
damn ... i got all right , i spend way too much time gathering ascension mats for characters i dont even have
tho i will have to say some were guesses , mainly shenhe and aloy(i wouldnt count her as a character but here we are)
i think i need a whole forest . i have no idea how i memorized them all but yeah the only one i struggled a bit on was eula since i couldnt tell what boss that was at first

I didn't really know Xinyan, Yanfei & Rosaria's material, and I thought Diona's was Qiqi's 🤣
Since it's not really farmed per se, I forgot what Traveler's ascension material looked like. When I saw that one I was like "What is that? I've never seen that anywhere in the game! Who uses- oh..."
Only struggled and had to pause on Lisa cos I’ve never paid attention to her materials 😭
I missed like more than half of the mondstadt characters lmao I forgot some of them exits
the fact that i know all of them despite not having all of these characters and only starting 6 months ago. it's been a while since i've touched grass

Did pretty good overall, only messed up Jean, Sucrose and Kaeya.
Got all but one right, i seriously had no idea qiqi needed violet grass....

Mona (it was either her or Barb cuz they use the same specialty and boss mat)
Xingqiu (just forgot about him lol guessed Yelan)
Got the rest right! I did way better than I thought I would. There were more that I didn’t know but was able to guess correctly by process of elimination. Fun video!

Tried it on 1.5 speed and got 41/47. I'm fine with missing others because i haven't build them yet and never look at their ascension mats but how come i missed Hu Tao when she's one of my level 90/90 characs (i only have 5 characs at 90/90)😭😭
