Windblade doesn’t have a Geisha face. Her face has always been patterned after how Samurai masks and face makeup were used in Edo period and later Japanese theater. She is literally just Tomoe Gozen (real life female Samurai and folk hero) as a Transformer.
Well Armada's Gimmicks were Minicons, and that was awesome. This crap is just laziness and being greedy on Hasbro's part. I hope this line does not last.
I dont get why some toy companies put little gimics like these into their action figures. Its one thing if its a universal play pattern like the Head/Titan Masters or electronics, but most of the time its something stupid and limits the articulation. Stuff like this should be banned, because they should let the kids pose their action figures and use their imagination. Or companies should be like playmates with Ninja Turtles releasing basic figures with super articulation and simultaneously realse slighty more expensive figures with a little gimmic, that way it gives kids options.
That Windblade's transformation is what I would call Gundam method. If you know how transforming Gundams like Zeta and Wing transform then you can see that her transformation is similar to those. That said I do think that her jet mode does look kinda good. Still not enough to make picking her up worth it.
The left shoulder fan on Windblade is actually rubbing against the shoulder. At least, that's what I found with mine. Overall I think she's about as good as the RID version, but without the wonky hinges. I understand some of the criticisms though. I should add the head doesn't wobble on mine.
If you look at the box art and back to the toy, the thighs are assembled incorrectly. That is why the lower legs can bent forward, which are not supposed to. I had to hammer out the pins and switch the thighs on my Megatron.
I still say the original Deluxe class fig for Windblade, heel issues and all, is her ultimate toy release, though I have respect for her Titans Return fig. I'm surprised they didn't repaint one of her RID releases again; some of those looked to be a good combo of great figs and kid friendly
These current toy lines make one thing right - these make me to look forward to 2019 and the release of War for Cybertron: Siege line. Can't wait to get Sideswipe and Flywheels/Skytread :D (Shockwave looks bad*** as that spaceship-cannon, sadly, it's unlikely I'd be able to afford to buy him). Oh, I forgot, Thrilling 30 Legends Megatron did such tank mode way better, at least he had Chop Shop to fill the gap in the front of the tank :).
I don't know what Hasbro is playing at....ALL this cyberverse range is cheap looking/cheap gimmicks/shockingly poor alt Moses.. .but FAR too expensive for what the buyer is actually getting...shame on you Hasbro!!!
It sucks because the show is really good, and I really like the style they're going for in it. If they made a new Windblade based off her Cyberverse look in Voyager scale with better quality, it would probably be my favorite transformer toy.
But if you want a deluxe Megatron that is not Megatronus. Get the Generations Thrilling 30 one or the Last Knight one that is a repaint if this one. Or you could spend extra money on the old Universe Classic One. Or make a dozen loans for the tf prime First Edition Megatron
I feel like the relationship between Transformers cartoons and toys are inversely proportional. Prime Wars Trilogy had crap shows but good toys, Cyberverse has the opposite problem. But, honestly, the show made me want any Slipstream I could get my hands on, so the marketing is working. Dear Primus I almost bought the Scout Slipstream.
Yeah, this line is crap. If you're a Transformers fan, don't buy these figures, if you do, Hasbro will think they can get away with this terrible quality.
I am not a parent, but if I was I think I’d find how Cyberverse and RID2’s toys seem to think their target demographic (little kids) are incompetent idiots to be even more insulting.
Balt, I think you forget sometimes that you started out catering to the tiny, adult collector demographic, and chanced into the kid demographic, who don't care about long videos, or words coming out of your mouth. The collectors are still watching your videos.
*SIIIIIIGHHHHH* Hasbro, why? the mainline series toys just keep dropping further and further in quality, is the budget really so critically low that you can't get competent designers *AND* writers even after toys continue to decrease in mass and increase in price? I'm getting off track, this is a rant about the toys, yes, Transformers needs to be marketable to kids, but they've been dummed down far too much, and the sheer overuse of gimmicks, ruining the very concept of "action" from "transforming action figure", and don't play with my words, when I say "action" I mean possibility, gimmicks are very secondary to possibility, nowadays, gimmick lines seem to dominate 80% of the affordable toys, gimmicks that are intrusive to the point that Transfomers has regressed to being bricks with flashy get-ups, yet somehow (and I'm sorry for getting off track here) these modern bricks have even less personality than original G1 toys, again, *BRICKS* kids are smart enough to figure out transformations that are more involved, I hate to let nostalgia do the talking but, I miss 2007, when *transformation* was the *gimmick itself* that is what I can proudly say was Transformers' Silver Age, toyline *and* series Rant over, thank you for making it this far
I would love a masterpiece windblade, but we all know that's never going to happen because windblade isn't part of any g1 continuity or the shitty movies.
uhhh dude... you do realise that she don't need long wings to lift up or even fly ? it's a V-tall, i relies a lot in it's rotors to lift up and stabilise once in flight. a lot of V-tall have short wings like that. tho it's still a crappy figure.
Hasbro thinks kids today are dumb thus how simplified the engineering for the cartoon figures, heck a kid would rather buy an older demographic oriented figures like the Generations line over these.
Windblade doesn’t have a Geisha face. Her face has always been patterned after how Samurai masks and face makeup were used in Edo period and later Japanese theater.
She is literally just Tomoe Gozen (real life female Samurai and folk hero) as a Transformer.
Windblade is now a mainstay transformers character yet to this day we have never gotten a really good windblade toy.
Aqua
It’s strangely tragic, to be honest.
I mean, if you look past the somewhat odd proportions, titans return windblade is actually pretty ok. Not the best, but still tolerable.
I do think that both 1st and 2nd toys she got are actually good.
Wasn't the first toy fine?
I mean, the first toy is fine, but the feet ruin it. She can barely stand.
Is it sad that armada had better gimmicks
Well Armada's Gimmicks were Minicons, and that was awesome. This crap is just laziness and being greedy on Hasbro's part. I hope this line does not last.
Honestly, I think Armada executed theirs far better.
The beef-tank comment while flipping open the gimmick actually made me audibly laugh
Beef Tank!!
I bought one based on the beef tank review, and now my days are chuck full of both beef and tank. Really cool toy.
Ham truck!
A quote to describe the cyberverse toy line “junk that’s what you are, yesterday’s mode ready for the scrap heap” who agrees with me?
Welcome to Armada pt.2
Armada is of Masterpiece quality compared to this trash.
And like most sequels, it can’t hold a candle to the first.
Megatron's grumpy face kills me.~
He didn't have his coffee in the morning...
Windblade is both THICC and has jiggle physics? Sold!
Wait, what do you mean both are at the head?
What does everybody want! More Beef Tank!!!
And this line is a prime example on how centering in gimmicks other than transformation can ruin a transformer figure
Nucleo Negro Even RID15 was better than this.
Mini-Con Longarm ikr
Is that a pun
Plus it has really shitty / lazy sculpts, don't forget that!
@@mini-conlongarm8021 Windblade transforms exactly the same way as the RID version.
Megatron has no excuse.
I still say Cyberverse is a modern Armada. Next thing we see is mini-cons
Except Armada actually had SOME good figures, and mini-cons were actually pretty cool just by themselves. Cyberverse has... neither of those.
Armada figures had elbows... and knees.
Beef Tank Superior , Small Tank Inferior.
You mean Quake from Titans Return
SuperChochip okay im not the only one
He also erroneously implied Megatronus Prime (AKA the Fallen) is Megatron.

I, for one, do watch your videos. They help me to decide if I want a particular figure or not. For all the hard work you do, Thank You.
All hail the BeefTank!
ALL HAIL!
ALL HAIL!
ALL HAIL!
hey we can't judge them to harshly, they have only been doing this whole robot toy thing for 36 or so years.
The new Windblade reminds me of RiD's mold for her. The arms, the nosecone, the styling, that whole deal.
Even as a kid I would have HATED those figures. Like, what the hell is with Megatron's alt mode????
His alt mode is an MLoHBTH (Megatron Lying on His Back Touching Himself).
7:09Directed by Michael Bay.
Noah Juarez That part killed me
But g1 transformers won't work in a live action movie
Ratbat 1986 Its a joke you plebian
@@nedinnis6752
But what I said wasnt criticizing them, I just said a michael bay quote
Ratbat 1986 K
Yeah the pink mace...no bueno
The left shoulder fan on Windblade is actually rubbing against the shoulder. At least, that's what I found with mine.

Baltmatrix: "Here they are with Quake from Power of the Primes".
Me: *NANI!*
Windblade was gonna be the only one I was gonna get, but nope, not now, great video
If you look at the box art and back to the toy, the thighs are assembled incorrectly. That is why the lower legs can bent forward, which are not supposed to. I had to hammer out the pins and switch the thighs on my Megatron.
I have to disagree I got the Gimmick Megatron and enjoy it. The gimmick is fun for me. That said Beef Tank is amazing and I need one.
Yeah people not watching longer reviews is annoying when there is lots to go over.
I still say the original Deluxe class fig for Windblade, heel issues and all, is her ultimate toy release, though I have respect for her Titans Return fig.
I'm surprised they didn't repaint one of her RID releases again; some of those looked to be a good combo of great figs and kid friendly
I watch the long reviews
I want megatron those poses are incredible
wait until you see the new Shockwave's Ultra-Class
What others say, I honestly look forward to get this two as I like despite the the minor flaws.
Beef tank with the words from Emgo, "The MEGA FUSION SHOT!!!!"
I actually like the mace idea. If done better it could be awesome.
I don’t know why I was dying of laughter when he activated megatons mace
These current toy lines make one thing right - these make me to look forward to 2019 and the release of War for Cybertron: Siege line. Can't wait to get Sideswipe and Flywheels/Skytread :D (Shockwave looks bad*** as that spaceship-cannon, sadly, it's unlikely I'd be able to afford to buy him).

LOL!!!! I'm sorry you got me with Beef Tank. And then I absolutely lost it when you gimmicked Beef Tank. 10/10 would Beef again.
I don't know what Hasbro is playing at....ALL this cyberverse range is cheap looking/cheap gimmicks/shockingly poor alt Moses.. .but FAR too expensive for what the buyer is actually getting...shame on you Hasbro!!!
yeah its for kids who wont care, but the price is just all wrong
It sucks because the show is really good, and I really like the style they're going for in it. If they made a new Windblade based off her Cyberverse look in Voyager scale with better quality, it would probably be my favorite transformer toy.
Hey Balt, have you seen the stock images for the new upcoming cyberverse figures? If so, what did you like the most and what did you hate the most?
But if you want a deluxe Megatron that is not Megatronus. Get the Generations Thrilling 30 one or the Last Knight one that is a repaint if this one. Or you could spend extra money on the old Universe Classic One. Or make a dozen loans for the tf prime First Edition Megatron
I have the Shockwave. Not very good quality so I'm dry brushing it to make it look cooler.
>Get all these figures at the BigBadToyStore!
Wow a whole store dedicated to bay toys like these
The Cyberverse toyline until now it's has been a wreck.
Well, at least you get a free pink lolly with little Megsy
I feel like the relationship between Transformers cartoons and toys are inversely proportional. Prime Wars Trilogy had crap shows but good toys, Cyberverse has the opposite problem. But, honestly, the show made me want any Slipstream I could get my hands on, so the marketing is working. Dear Primus I almost bought the Scout Slipstream.
Looks like megatron is suffering the same syptim that optimus sufferd, the stiff arm syndrome.
At least one of megatrons arm has recoverd.
When Hasbro has a good toyline, the TV show is bad but when they have a bad toyline, the TV show is good
I’m still praying for a decent warrior wheeljack. PLEASE HASBRO!!!
You must have a defective Windblade. Mine is solid, and the head moves, with good knees.
Glad we I got the RiD Windblade when I had the chance. She's smole but her articulation is far better than this one's.
you have inspired me to buy a beef tank
The cyberverse is a bad line
Are they ok to get and where is her sword and beefy megation
Think I picked a good year to transition my collecting from Transformers to Lego....
Has/Tak is shitting the bed with these upcoming lines.... e_e
Guest who's the "Beef Tank" next year?
Answer: War of Cybertron Voyager Class Megatron... from Siege Toyline!
Is it bad that I want this megatron?
I am watching long reviews, if they are about figures that interests me.
All I can say is this: these are definitely aimed at imaginative children. Go to town youngsters!! 😁
Is it wrong that I think the Windblade figure is the best -Deluxe- Warrior class Cyberverse figure I've seen thus far?
Yeah, this line is crap. If you're a Transformers fan, don't buy these figures, if you do, Hasbro will think they can get away with this terrible quality.
Some people like these toys
@@transformersfan1924 They clearly put all the money into the Siege line. More power to you if you like them, but they're objectively lower quality.
Don't buy beef tank Megatron, instead wait for the Siege: WFC Voyager Megatron. That looks good!
I am not a parent, but if I was I think I’d find how Cyberverse and RID2’s toys seem to think their target demographic (little kids) are incompetent idiots to be even more insulting.
Quake from POWER OF THE PRIMES
How long until BBTS sponsors you?
Sad
you said "Here's Quake from Power Of The Primes"
he's from Titans Return
My Windblade's Left Arm keeps popping out.
That one starscream star seeker missle figure from cyberverse is just stupid
I mean you can clearly see the legs in the back
Megatron looks like a putty from mighty morphing power rangers! XD
I’ve never seen such criticism for a kids toy
Balt, I think you forget sometimes that you started out catering to the tiny, adult collector demographic, and chanced into the kid demographic, who don't care about long videos, or words coming out of your mouth. The collectors are still watching your videos.
WINDBLADE FIDGET SPINNER 2020!
Quake is from titans return. I have the figure
I think that Windblade is the better figure
What about the "Matrix Truck"?
Nice!
Gonna be seeing allot of these in home bargains and B&M with this level of non quality thanks for the warning Baltmatrix.
i was waiting for the arm to pop off i hate mine her arm doesnt stay on at all
For me is meh
Has anyone ever read a comment about a scene in the video just as that scene was happening? It just happened to me
Windblades gimmick is uhm,, absolutely pathetic.
Its sad to say armada hotshot is better than the cybervers line in general
I also am thinking getting me a beef tank because i like it way better
People keep getting duplicate arms and legs on some of these pretty bad
quake from power of the primes? It's titans return balt.
WARRIOR CLASS BEEF TANK!
BEEFTANK!
Where's her sword?
