Wow I’m happy for this new nest !! Thanks Lady Hawk for showing it. First I thought there were 2 babies then I see another one and then one more !! Awesome. They’re so cute and their squeeing is different and mama it’s so beautiful !! 😊
Thank you for sharing this. I love these birds and never knew they existed until you posted this video. I've looked at the live feed and absolutely adore that little baby. Always, in the front row during feeding time. So cute!
Oh my gosh, the youngest baby gets tossed around a bit, but gets up & comes back for more...LoL! They are all very sweet!! Thank you Lady Hawk for sharing this video. 💞
Thank you so much for turning me onto this cam, LH !! :) :) ....I have been watching ever since. The parents sure do a super job of keeping those 4 chicks well fed ! :) I'm really loving watching this new raptor species to me.....Thanks again :)
Thank you Cornell Lab And RRP for another raptor viewing nest. What are our chances for a Harpy nest? Also a great thank you to Lady Hawk. These babies are so adorable and their squeezing lol
Thank you Lady Hawk. To me the babies sort of remind me of baby falcons. These are adorable and another nest to watch. In fact Prairie during Chief Wisconsin is across the Mississippi River from my hometown in Iowa. Love the squeeing noises the babies make.
You might already know this, but we have a peregrine falcon nestbox at Bunge America in McGregor. We banded four young there this year on May 24, and they are already on the wing!
Thanks, Lady Hawk! I love Kestrels, but probably won't watch 'til they're a bit older. I can't stand to watch the little ones with their mouths open getting nothing over and over again. If they make it, I'll watch them later.
Very cool new cam Lady Hawk! The Kestrel is a beautiful raptor. I'm interested to see how Mom manages 4 chics😮. For our smallest raptor they're powerful birds. Your description is on point as always, I'd love to see the limestone barn where the nest is built into. Thanks for the vid!❤
Is this a first time mother? I have seen other Kestrel nests and other kestrel mothers are more gentle when feeding and more aware of piece sizes and number of mouths. Here in this video it seems the mother multiple times took very big pieces and put them into the smaller ones mouths.
Can anyone tell what the prey was? Theyre just like peregrine falcons!!! I see a big size difference between the chicks. Do they not incubate the eggs at the same time? Must be tough for the youngest. 😔
I don't know! Was hoping you would chime in and tell me!! Thank you SO much RRP for this great cam - so many people are now loving it and are tuning in. This will be my first kestrel cam to cover so I am excited to learn more about them as the season progresses!!

Very cool! Raptor babies seem to all look similar. Thanks for the great capture!
New, adorable little fuzzies to watch, yay! Thanks for bringing Kestrals to us, Lady Hawk 😘
You are welcome! This is new for me too - so it will be interesting to watch and learn!

whoa I haven’t seen a US nest of these guys in ages!
엄마가 골고루 잘도 먹이는데..
성격이 좀급한가봐요😂😂😂❤
Thanks. Gonna start watching this one.
Great!! Another nest!!! :) :)
Really cool, thanks!❤️
Hey Mom remember there's 4 mouths to feed....😉
Loretta u do know there’s 3 chicks 1 egg
Edit: Oooooh I know what ur talking bout 😉
This is great!
No bonking 🤗
Did both babies from the great spirit bluff falcon cam fledge or did they fall out like the ones last year?
I wondered that too!
Grammar Nazi I think they both fledged.
They both fledged! :D
Hi Grammar - yes they both fledged successfully!!
Is this a first time mother? I have seen other Kestrel nests and other kestrel mothers are more gentle when feeding and more aware of piece sizes and number of mouths. Here in this video it seems the mother multiple times took very big pieces and put them into the smaller ones mouths.
I'm reading the description. What exactly is a folded hill?
Can anyone tell what the prey was? Theyre just like peregrine falcons!!! I see a big size difference between the chicks. Do they not incubate the eggs at the same time? Must be tough for the youngest. 😔
No I couldn't tell lol
I'd say it's a rat, judging by the back legs and feet shape, and at 1:44 you can see the hairless tail.
Yo that baby in the huddle has been choking this whole time 🥺 Did it end up making it??? 💔
Yes good news - Junior fledged successfully and was seen flying with his siblings in the area! All of the chicks fledged!
i like it.
It's not cowghetti, but what kind of 'ghetti is it?
I don't know! Was hoping you would chime in and tell me!! Thank you SO much RRP for this great cam - so many people are now loving it and are tuning in. This will be my first kestrel cam to cover so I am excited to learn more about them as the season progresses!!
Where is the other parent?
Always some have more🐁 is there where is the prefered chik
Where is this nest?
Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin.
I would be shocked if the youngest survived
Hi Lucy - the youngest Junior did fledge successfully! In fact all of the chicks did!!
