It’s nice to see a studio in this series that isn’t as polished and made to be a show piece, but rather a mad scientist’s fun space to work in the most natural way for him. It’s a good reminder that the resources aren’t really the issue, but rather the way you use them and the love and devotion you put into each piece of music... that and good helping of talent. ;)

omg can we talk about how nobody knew that for the first 30mins there's a cs80 in the foreground of the shot in a case and then Dan casually is like "got a cs80 here." so nice to see a proper musician who loves music itself and is excited about it. a joy to watch

One of the best videos I’ve seen with such a unique musician. It looked so minimalistic at first. I thought he was gonna break out a Korg Volca but then bam! bam! bam! and boom! A CS80 … I’m almost in tears how amazingly happy this video was to experience. Thank you.

You can see this guy still really loves sound and music by how he jumps at the chance to jam at the end there. 20 years and he’s still got the passion. Fantastic!

Aw, I missed this one but it's totally brilliant. Can see Christian just emersed in this guys mad world and loves it. Blowing dust off and trying to find batteries in piles of stuff and he's doing his best not to crack up.
Yet the guy is clearly a genius and some of his scores have been favourites of mine for years. I'd imagine if I won the lottery and lived on my own, this would be my existence! Excellent.

What the adventure, aftewards, you could be, are, so under emotional state of mind! - Five years about the first moment, Christian says! - of which you have enabled us to experience and share such strong moments, moments when the situation was serious, when the situation was dangerous. What a comfort to be in this setting, in this team, otherwise more, more than supportive! Bravo, well done!
I am so happy for you, for both of you especialy!
    Cheers Homay, cheers Oliver!
    cheers Spitfire family.

This chap is splendid. He is responsible for what is in one way one of the most impressive sound tracks for a computer game ever, for "The Movies" in 2005: nearly a hundred circa three minute film style pieces of music for a huge range of different styles of films, including a myriad masterful pastiches of famous film scores. (Sadly, the music was probably rather better than the rest of the game, and is not very well remembered these days. Even more sadly, the expansion pack, "The Movies Stunts and Effects" did not in the end ship with the extra music from this composer that it was composed for it, which, apart from one track in a promotional video released before the expansion pack was released, which was then replaced with a video with some of the original music before release, so some of it has never been heard).

Late to the party, but I just caught DP on Score the Podcast, and stoked to find Christian has been to his creative space. I shall never again be ashamed of my messy studio. Just compose, don't worry about the aesthetics. It works for this guy. Thanks to CH for a brilliant video.

I just recalled that I discovered Christian Henson through these interviews. I binge watched the entire Creative Cribs sequence when I was looking for ideas on how to reorganize my own modest studio. These videos focusing on the particular needs of a particular composer were of far greater value than the tours of massive commercial studios with racks and racks and racks of outboard gear that need a battalion of techs to maintain and assistants to run. As with all of the content Christian posts, highly inspirational!
