You guys said we would win 11 games Fickell’s first year. Then 8-9 games second year. I will always support this team but I’m not buying anymore hype until I actually see it on the field.
not buying that bs & "his" recruits r leaving rt & lt. If we havta listen 2 watch & listen to this he needs 2 give bk some of his 7mil/yr (like Mike Norvell) cause we surely didn't pay that 4 this. On Wisconsin
@@RealestRealist14that’s true lol 😂 Can’t just expect a guy to come into a brand new place and immediately succeed with everything being new….. including players he didn’t even recruit….
Mettaur leaves. Hey dude thanks for your attention span and your fantastic contribution to Wisconsin football. Of course you didn’t do a damn thing, couldn’t beat out Locke and completed one pass. You’ll be golden at another program.
It's so frustrating that Finkell decided not to take the bowl game. Throwing away Extra practices. God for bid you spend time to work with your players to get better.
Steve, Luke had advantage to get quickly after the portal opportunity after he had knowledge who was leaving. He wants players who are committed and focused on winning! Taking on a bowl after the fact would delay his portal recruitment. Also be on the front end of evaluations of portal too
In state critics crowd has been real quiet since Matt Jung committed. Also, we signed two back to back 5 OL good classes with the new staff. We could've technically gotten more of them from in state but I'd rather have guys who A) want to be here B) have the right mentality and C) are actually good enough to play here.
That's one player. The good news with OL is they haven't bolted like the other positions. Of course the state of Wi has below average HS talent at best so there's no way they can fill a roster with in state talent. The point many are making is that in state guys are probably more likely to be loyal and stick around. In the age of constant turnover teams that would hold rosters together like BB did would be at a big advantage.
Transfers out have emptied the cupboard and now refilling it with kids that are chasing NIL dollars. They will either be done with eligibility or re-entering portal again next year. You never gain traction or continuity. College sports was always better than professional but not anymore. I question if I ever want to pay big money to watch this cluster the NCAA has created!
Ryan when are you and the Badger fan base going to realize that Finkell has lost the team. Now all QBs and potential starter Mabry are gone. Players aren't buying the leadership from the coaches
Wisconsin missed on a prairie du chien Wi. Kid, Blake Thiry. He was a swiss army knife, 6'4 216, played receiver, tight end, running back, linebacker and nationally rated long snapper. Also a State Track qualifier in Hurdles, long jump, triple jump. He got only offers from little known programs but Indiana swoops in and signs him. 247 said he was a power 5 prospect which from an unknown reason wasn't recruited like one. I'm sure there are plenty of players like him to develop. Athletic, projects but athletic and a hard worker.
I think basketball is better right now and next season but the future is still brighter with football. Basketball just seem stuck were there are 4-5 seed every year win one maybe two game in March. I still believe in Fick and see this team challenging to be in the playoffs in a few years consistently.
I am not losing sleep on that. Locke was not doing well for us. Mabrey could not start. That means he is not working out. We have three new QB coming and two of them are proven experienced QB.
@@njBadger…to expect most FR to pick up n run a system is woefully kool-aid drinking, but it would’ve been nice to see Fickell play him our last few games! Mabrey kicked the crap out of fellow 4/5* athletes in Texas hs. But to see him bolt w/no other qb on the team is just crazy!
College Football is a whole new ballgame with NIL, transfers, large conferences and the CFP !! We're no longer in the weak West !! Positive thinking brings Positive Results!
I’m not giving up as a life long fan. Transfer portal has a bleak outlook but like the title says, in state recruiting (in key spots) is gonna be huge moving forward in the spring and with the new OC
What is the NCAA doing to get this NIL stuff organized and under control? It's like the wild west with all these players coming and going after one season, there has to be a middle ground for players to get what they financially deserve and commitment. The NCAA is the platform and without it these players have nothing to move to, this leverage should be able to create some type of structure.
I was never saying to fill a roster with in state talent. That's impossible because WI has bad in state talent in comparison to the big teams obviously. It's not like PC didn't recruit out of state. He recruited FL just like BB did. In state players are likely to stick around longer and continuity in times of constant change would be an advantage. LF back 10 years ago with this recruiting where he could have held on to players would have been a big deal. Of course it's a mix of in state and out of state. I simply said more in state. Yeah the players in state aren't as good, but if they stick around they'd be pretty good by juniors and seniors.
The chancellor needs to end UW’s connection with the Big 10 and college sports and just have an intramural program and club sports. Re-focus on academics and remove the distractions of what has become a sports circus.
Ryan, I just read on FB that qb Mabrey just bolted! Have you verified that terribly sad news? I am so ph*cking tired of seeing guys that never even played or played very little, decide to bolt! Why are so many quality recruits leaving us? This has become atrocious! How can UW move forward just training FR up only to see them leave? Oh wow, I heard you just reference my qx (😊)! I am so dejected to see all of these quality picks decide that UW is not worth their time! I am so sad, right now! I really wanted to watch Mabrey help turn our team around! What, if anything can actually, or will be done about NIL long term?? It can’t be here to stay in its current state can it?? And are the majority (not all) kids even loyal anymore…
