#Oasis - เพลง
I met Tony McCarroll (original Oasis drummer in this video) a few year back just by chance. He gave me a lift back from Manchester. I didn't have a clue who he was, just thought he was a driver for the utilities company I was doing work for at the time. I asked him about his driving job and he told me it was a stop gap as he was a musician first and foremost. I asked what instrument he plays. He replied "the drums". I then asked if he'd drummed for any well know bands. He replied "yes Oasis." He then told me some of the story behind them starting the band before Noel joined and then went on to the reason why they sacked him from the band. It seemed like there was a lot of animosity between Tony and Noel at the time so Noel kicked him out using the reason he wasn't a good enough drummer ,which apparently wasn't the case. Tony came over as a really nice bloke. Very easy to talk to.

I could never choose between this and Live Forever. Wonderwall is possibly their best-known, but was a bit overplayed at the time for my tastes.

6 years ago, I was going trough a bad divorce, separated from my kids, my life was a complete mess, one weekend I had to pickup my children to spend the weekend with me and my car didn't start, so I asked to my brother to lend me his car, he's always been an Oasis fan and he had a cd of Oasis in his Car cd player, and then I listened this song, and I had an epiphany, and then I said to myself, wait you can't go on deeper, you're free to be whatever you want and I can sing the blues if I want, this song saved my life of s certain suicide because of my situation back then, so I owe this band and this song my life, thanks Oasis and God for saving my life, now I have the best wife and the best kids I could ask for, my life won't be enough to thank Oasis for saving my life back then, this song means everything to me and everyday I play it out loud. cheers from Venezuela

The fun fact: When this video was to be taken, Noel somehow didn’t appear in the studio. So Liam and other members searched for Noel in the town. They finally found him sleeping on the street because of a hangover.
Hangovers normally start AFTER you've stopped being drunk. Pretty sure Noel was still hammered during the recording of the video lol

I'm 35 now but when I heard this I was 17 and I felt alive for the first time when I heard this song. Oasis brought us all together. Working class lads from the North, working class lads from the south, everyone in England loved Oasis. Oasis broke (and will continue to)break up so many fights in pubs. Just play ' Wonderwall' or ' Don't Look Back In Anger' and everyone will stop fighting and just sing along (usually lol). You don't top the buzz of seeing Oasis live unless you've seen your children being born.

This video feels probably one of the most up-close and personal from the band. Its just a bunch of lads getting together to play a song for a shoot and having a good time instead, i love it.
Such a majestic song .... I was 25 when I heard this and I thought, "Yes, this is MY Beatles, this is MY generation, and this really talks to me about how I feel right now". Carefree days when it all seemed possible, they made us drunk on our youth and hope.

This song played before my Brother's funeral a couple of weeks ago. I stood by the hearse waiting for the rest of the carriers to arrive while everyone walked into the crematorium. It was a stunning day despite being in Edinburgh, in May, & when the last bars played with just the strings I lost it. It was so perfect. Songs & bands like this don't exist any more. My Brother lived a full life & saw Oasis several times in concert. No regrets except selfish ones for myself. RIP Brother, gone too soon.
