Easily. Lebron's biggest trait is his size and athleticism that allowed him to dominate in a much weaker league. Back in the 80-90s, he would be bullied around by the likes of Magic, Jordan, Bird, Hakeem etc. No way he could have this many rings in that era.
Magics teams were mostly organic or a home grown cast (much like the Nuggets today with Jokic) Lebron is known for putting together super teams and getting McRings. Kareem with the Lakers never did anything but stat pad people at the time were telling him to retire they even made a joke about it in the movie Airplane with Kareem. Magic made the Lakers winners made them all better players and that was against stacked teams like 6ers Celts and Pistons. You wouldn't see Magic losing to a washed up Mavs team like Lebron.
Yes, Magic is better than Lebron. Just a more effective basketball player. I have been going back to look at more Magic games, I have a feeling his midrange shooting is overly criticized but I want to be sure before I come to a final conclusion on that. I have to disagree with you on Magic being questionable in the clutch. Magic always had his great playmaking, but unlike Lebron he also had a "go to move". He could get his hook shot in the paint at any time, which was a very high percentage shot. The "Tragic Magic" moment was really just in reference to a couple of horrible plays in one series, it's not really fair to assess his overall capabilities based on that one situation. Also, unlike Lebron, he was an elite free throw shooter, which of course is helpful when closing out games.
A lot of the questions about Magic in the clutch I believe had to do with him being a pass first player. Even in his highlight reels, he sacrifices easy layups he could get to get a better look for his teammates. This is actually very good for a team, especially since it boosts player morale and confidence. Another reason I think his clutch gene was questioned was because his personality. To me, he always came off very expressive, smiley, at times a little flamboyant. These traits arent associated with being a “Cold blooded killer” type.
At the time, this was deemed as a tragedy (no pun intended) since so many other celebrities were dying from the virus, and others would sadly pass on in the future. We all should be grateful that Magic is still around, laughing, telling stories, and being Magic!
I was as big a Magic fan as ever existed. Watched him play at MSU and later carry the NBA along with Bird when it was struggling. P L E A S E ! Magic wasn't even as good as MJ and MJ is really not in LeBron's class. Obviously, you never saw Magic or MJ or Kareem play in person. If you want to pick a player who can at least compete with LeBron try Kareem who is at least top 3 in three of the 5 major statistical categories the NBA keeps track of. Magic has NO top 3 finishes in any of those categories, nor does MJ. You should stick to something you know first hand..
Not controversial at all. You're right.
I don’t think Magic himself would agree, but I do!
Agree

1000x Give me Magic over Lebron and Kobe.
Idk for me I would take Kobe over both of them. Game 7, down to the wire, the only person between those 3 people I want to shoot that shot is kobe
Tragic was because he got HIV

MJ is not in Lebron's class? Why on earth would you say that?
You joking right?
