    I'm glad you still put out the video! You could of just not posted that you "bit off ore then you can chew" in your words. Rather, you showed guys its okay to swing big and if it doesn't work out that's okay! Loving the videos! I'm on a Scout Rogue. Best bike! Well, best bike until i get an Indian Pursuit.

    I'm glad to see you made it safely to Taos and were reasonable dealing with the Texas heat. Having both traveled alone and camped alone, I can say it's a very different experience from traveling with friends and/or family. Austin to Taos is a heck of an adventure on its own. Ride safe.

      Thanks! Yeah I didn’t know what to expect doing it alone. I’m glad I did it but next time I’d prefer to have some people around haha.

      I definitely understand that. Regardless, the mere fact that you even set out on this solo adventure is more than most people will ever do.

    Right outside of Taos is the Rio Grande Gorge- a MUST see. I know what mean about suddenly packing up and turning back. The 1st time I went to the Taos/Sante Fe area, I didnt realize how much there was actually to do up there that I couldn't do without proper planning. I basically just jumped into the Jeep and hauled butt from Abilene. I stayed 3 days, did some things, mostly driving looking for stuff to do. The trip ended up just being a scenic road trip, which is 100% fine because its beautiful up there.

    Awesome scenery on this trip. It's amazing how much gear you can pack for camping on your bike. I'm getting to old to sleep on the ground though. I know exactly what you mean about when you're riding, it's no issue of being by myself, but when I'm stopped, I kinda feel like, now what? Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you! Yeah I underestimated that part of traveling alone, I’ll need to find some sort of entertainment for future adventures haha.

    Did it already. Rode solo from Birmingham to Santa Fe, then to San Antonio. Not my furthest solo trip but riding solo is where it’s at. Why? Because you’re in complete control of where you go and what you do. I take a solo trip cross country every year. It is my therapy.

    I'm just north of Austin close to Temple. I love riding alone so that I can control everything. I may try this ride soon and see how it goes. Sorry that you got bored and headed back early, sometimes I feel the same way. Anyhow, take care!

    Don't feel too bad. I got a feeling the more you ride by yourself the better you will get at it. Being out on the open road isn't easy especially when you are by yourself. Until next time.

    • @cruisingwithkyle
      @cruisingwithkyle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Brother I’m right there with you. Solo trips are totally a different. Specially with someone who is antsy and deals with anxiety,anxiousness. I think for me it’s more of the fact that Iam away from my comfort zone, in a new area that(the unknown) I am working to overcome this because I fell that it’s holding me back.

    • @cruisingwithkyle
      @cruisingwithkyle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah being alone in an unfamiliar area had me real antsy and uncomfortable. It was a barrier I had to break and the more I do it the more comfortable it’s getting. Also being with friends it’s just better in my opinion haha.

      @ElGancho08 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cruisingwithkyle yea definitely better with friends. Rio de crusty valley in New Mexico was out of this world. I was there last year when I went to Santa fe.

      @cruisingwithkyle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yeah I cruised through. I’ve stay in Taos/ Angel Fire before, I love it up there. I came out of Texas and went to Fort Sumner, up to Las Vegas, then to Taos. It’s a great ride but I wouldn’t recommend it during the summer haha it’s pretty hot until you get into the mountains.

    I love riding solo long distances on my 2022 Scout Rogue. I went from Illinois, through Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky and back to Illinois for my first trip after I got the bike. Then this past May I went from Chicago to Durango, Colorado. I went to ride the Million Dollar Highway in the Rockies. If I had more time off work I would have kept riding to California. I love being alone though. Also I stay in fancy casino hotels comped haha, my back is too messed up for the ground.

    • @cruisingwithkyle
      @cruisingwithkyle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha I wish that was me! I think the more trips I take solo the more comfortable I’ll be with chilling alone. I need to find ways not to be bored so a casino is a good idea haha.

      @@cruisingwithkyle You are also younger, when I was younger I always wanted to be around friends, and in my 30s/40s I like being by myself. My wife doesn’t go with me on my long trips (they are always solo). She rides her own bike but can’t ride for long distances and through inclement weather.

    what saddle bags are you rocking on your bike in this video?

    • @cruisingwithkyle

      It’s the Viking Patriot large bags. They’re not specifically meant for the Scout but pretty universal and easy to throw on and off.
