I love how you said for those who are not in the uk "yet". The "yet" in that sentence is everything. Yes sis we are coming, we are on our way.

This was so informative, personally I’ve always been scared of primary care for the same reason you said Nanelle. I don’t wanna be one of those nurses who lose my skills or “don’t know anything” but this was so enlightening. I love the opportunities for career progression.

Guys I am a practice Nurse myself and I agree with all she said. I joined Gp after qualifying , straight to Band 6 pay , so many skills and knowledge to learn is unbelievable! not even talking about the opportunities and flexibility to climb up the ladder. I love my job as an independent practitioner and would bot change it at all

Opportunities in nursing is so diverse you’re not limited to being in one environment. You can literally just rotate which builds up on your experience. She’s share a great amount of knowledge for people who might be interested in going to Gp nurse glad she explained it in details.

So here in Nigeria, GP is equivalent to community health practitioner s... All she said here are the work of a community health practitioner. The work independently in all government health centers. Am glad to stumble on this❤️❤️❤️

Nanelle keep up the good work. Nzi gave good synopsis of GP nurses role. It's a fulfilling job if you like to work autonomously. I've been a GP Nurse for 17 years. I'm advocating GP's need Nurses, just keep applying.

In SA,we call them primary health care practitioners, they operate independently in all government clinics, but you need to do a a 1 year specialised training known as primary health care nursing, they assess, and treat and dispense medication, and you can also open your own clinic if you apply for operating licence from South African Nursing Council
