    This is really good. It’s great seeing what it’s like being a GP in a pandemic. It’ll be such an interesting watch when life normalises (whatever that’ll be). Really enjoy watching your videos. Well done

    Hey doctor .... my Q is for how long can One stay in uk at non training post I mean if one wants to work as non trainee for 3-4 yers is that allowed ? Or if one wants to continue working after completing gp training is that allowed for imgs or they will have to go back to their countries immediately once they complete their training ? Plz reply

    • @DrPBaptiste
      @DrPBaptiste  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Thanks for watching and for your question! I've got a lot of information in this video here-th-cam.com/video/OvhEfOSh3mQ/w-d-xo.html
      However yes you can work indefinitely as a non trainee although there is no progression with that route...
      In terms of stay you'll need to ensure you have all necessary documents so you can live and work in the UK. Hope that helps!

    Do some GPs do the regular 9-5?

    • @DrPBaptiste
      @DrPBaptiste  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most GPs will do some combination of long and short days. I do 2 long days and 1 short. There are also extended hours which are even longer days!

    So in rest of the day he can do something else like teaching !

    • @DrPBaptiste
      @DrPBaptiste  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Grace-lu9cp 5 years med school, 2 years foundation, 3 years GP. So if you start uni at 18 and no delays you'd be done by 28! ;)
      If you take a few years out and with life events you could be around 30-33.

    Omg must be a nightmare when ppl ask you what you do and asking for medical advice "I'm a gp" "Oh, you know I keep getting stomach aches after I eat, do you know what that is?" lol
    Curious, do lots of ppl come in having self-diagnosed through Dr Google? Or really freaked out by Dr Google?
    You've got such a calming and supportive attitude, your patients are super lucky to have your as their gp 😊 Is a bugger to have so many appts by phone atm, seeing a Dr face to face has such a powerful effect

    • @DrPBaptiste

      Hi! Thanks for watching and for your kind comments!
      It varies, but I don't actually get a lot of queries for medical advice! Yes I do miss the traditional way of working, but we do still see patients face to face as GPs!
