As a seasoned full touring bike rider, the 1200 Iron is a fresh breath of spring air to me! Love mine so far.

Your very first sentence said it all: ‘That’s a nice bike’!

I'm just seeing this video because I just picked up an Iron 1200, but I realized you're in my hometown of SA on the NE side! I recognize that Harley Davidson dealership from anywhere.

I am 6' 3 and ride a Custom 1200 with forward controls comfortably. I just put mini apes on and like them better than the low ones that was on it

Man you can't put the sportster in any class of bike out there. This bike has the same motor since 1984 and the frame design isn't all that new either. You can actually feel the heritage of this bike.

I just pick up my 2020 iron 1200 and I'm pretty happy with the power. Coming from 1900/113 of course, 2 different beasts and weights. I should of pick up the Sportster a long time ago but I just keep putting it off. Now, I will spend more time with her and go far places.

Dude i feel the exact same way i have a yamaha raider and the iron 1200, and the raider is too dam heavy. I dont understand people who say buy a bigger bike. Cruisers are not sportbikes lol

For all the comments from the 6ft plus guys....forward controls must be on the list to get done first ????

I’m 6’2” and I cruise a sportster iron 1200 would say a more comfortable is the first thing. I got the mustang wide solo seat and it made a world of difference.

I'm 6'3 would this bike be too small or uncomfortable for me? A friend that rides said it would.

I'm 6'2 and I didn't feel too big while on the bike, now if you're wondering if you would look weird from someone else looking at you on the bike? That I wouldn't really know for sure man

@Gregg Sinini well, I am 6'3 and my 1st HD was a 1200xl, it was not too small, having ridden a bunch diff size harleys over the years, I am now considering getting a sportster again :)) there you go

I do love the iron 1200 but Sportsters sound like you are riding an antique washing machine full of bees. I really hope the sportsters will live on with a new better engine and modern features but it looks like HD are in full self destruct mode right now
