God given. An angel. A musical giant. Angel.
Just after he ascended, I ascended. R.I.P JOHN COLTRANE. we love you brother
A truly extraordinary occurrence, music from John Coltrane we haven't heard before. A great album by my favorite musician.
The world where new John Coltrane album comes out is the best of the worlds.
His soul is with us.
One of the most ambitious players of all time. Very inspiring stuff.
La música de John Coltrane siempre estará en nosotros.
This is not a place for Smooth Jazz People...... This is for the Real Jazz Lovers...... Lost music by John Coltrane..... We have been blessed.....
TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!! - he has been my musical hero since I first heard his solo on ALL BLUES in 1959 when KIND OF BLUE was released - being an old man, I was fortunate enough to see him in 1962 during that "Great L.A. Jazz Scene" from the late 50's to the mid 60's - " KEEP ENJOYING THE SOUNDS OF JAZZ" (especially COLTRANE)
let people come and enjoy, regardless of usual taste
mizofan Coltrane did not criticize other's musical expressions (according to the making of love supreme book)
Thank you, you are so right!
This is beyond epic...it grooves, and swings so hard!! Pure nirvana!! Thank you.
This is an incredible mix of some straight ahead blues with Coltrane simultaneously going cosmic. His duet with Elvin Jones is the blues with some envelope pushing sheets of cosmic sound. McCoy Tyner takes a solo that is quintessentially blues-based. Nothing like going back home to the blues and into the cosmos at the same time. Truly Coltrane!
This is some other worldly blues man
Not many people know that John Coltrane was also one helluva marimba player
really? is there any footage of him playing marimba? that seems really cool.
He played BAGPIPES too! (seriously, he took lessons from Rufus Harley)
Always a dream school......
Remarkable musical moments from a genius of harmonic expression.
THIS IS REAL JAZZ, not that phony smooth shit! RIP brothers RIP, Jazz lovers love you all!
Fascinating to listen to some "new" Trane stuff.
Coltrane's music is like Valium. No matter what mood I'm in, it instantly chills me out.
Absolutely
Like valium with 75 micrograms of lsd. Mellow but everything is brighter, deeper, more detailed and yet totally real.
the world needs some of Trane's healing now more than ever maybe.
That's what I'm saying!
I thoroughly agree with you! - the man has been my musical hero since 1959 when I heard his solo on ALL BLUES from KIND OF BLUE - being an "old man" I was fortunate enough to see him in person during the early 60's in L.A. - when I start worrying to much about how Trump is "f-----g up" the future for my 5 grandkids, I listen to some Coltrane and he always "mellows me out" - "KEEP ENJOYING THE SOUNDS OF JAZZ" (especially 'Trane)
L
C-O-O-L-T-R-A-N-E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing Tune and musicians. Coltrane is a bad man. So bad, he doesn't need piano comping
More incredible music from Trane and group!! Love it!!
This is going to sound so good on vinyl when I get it.
Beautiful recording, but remember it is in mono!
from the anointed band, this is indeed blessed
Thank you God thank you
its been a great month for jazz, two albums from two jazz legends. ill have this and kamasi washington's album on repeat for months
sometimes i hear so much playfulness in Coltrane it literally tickles,....and in the midst of a wailing!! it's like putting down a whoopie cushion but then not inflating it and getting a kick out of anyway.
Deep hit home
*dis* is what one expects from one of the best improvisers in history
❤️ jazz 😎 cool John what could be the best in the world play on
Listening to Trane's magic since my teens.
Wayman Adams me too!
Trane's been awesome forever
Wow what a great tune. I'll be picking this up on CD & vinyl very very soon.
This is music to MY ears!
Today for my best friend, I completed pairing together his first hifi-delity turntable, Bluetooth speakers and beautiful sounding Bluetooth head phones along with a black lacquered glass top Tv cabinet. Accenting the cabinets center is an electric multicolored changing fireplace. P. S. Beause he's an older brother I added an Led strip Lamp to light his way. This Coltrane Album will be my gift to his JAZZ collection. Enjoy brother enjoy!

Mcoy (swing )Tyner
Awesome ! Slow Blues..soooo good. Funny thing is, that this is not exactly blues, nor slow.. lol
Correction please: It is a blues---Coltrane style. And it is slow---60 to the quarter note, in contrast to something called "Trane's Slo Blues" which is actually the same tempo as "Blue Train"---138 to the quarter note, which is not slow at all.
@@zitacarno4443 This song is 83 to the quarter
@@milest3560I noticed that they've been picking up the tempo!
👍
For me, Coltrane is like Bill Evans .. I don't know if he is really playing Jazz or what .. something out of this world you name it 'jazz' or whatever ..
X oh on.
