And this is where the idea of slow Romero zombies being a threat falls flat on it's face. A small, well equipped, well trained, well motivated force can easily wipe out a mob of individuals (or, if you prefer, a horde of Romero zombies).

Settings don't have anything to do with the animations used. They're either custom, or found in some other mod. In some cases it looks like it could be a combination of scripts to get them to run up like that. The truck stopping, I'm at a loss for as well.
Lol yeah, it was pretty heavily scripted to make them do that stuff. :P

you could jus download FFIS AI mod and they do those kind of animations. The usually do it when engaging and dodging incoming fire

Pickup trucks are an economical vehicle choice in the zombie apocalypse. As anyone who does logistics knows, if you can't fuel it, you can't run it, which makes it useless. That's experience playing 'Foxhole' has taught me, lol. There's no point in adding extra armor if the undead can chuck those vehicles around like toys. Better to stay fast and cheap. Having a large bed to put supplies in helps too.
Zombie1, your movies remind me of the beginning of the World War Z movies. Maybe you should recreate the Camp Humphry's scene from WWZ. ;)

And in movies people always seem to forget how to form a firing line. (The ones mainly used in american revolutionary war).

Yeah makes no sense to me RE: "Romero Zombies" IE: anybody who dies 'turns' as well as anybody injured/bitten will turn. Once this becomes public knowledge along with the 'destroy the brain/destroy the zod', it will only be a matter of time before decapitation &/or cremation for the newly dead or the dying becomes 'mandatory', enforced either by soldiers, police or 'militarized' militias. It would probably end up being a perpetual 'slow burn' situation.

@@nickmitsialis I have to disagree with that line of thinking. Such vital world saving information is typically slow to discover and even slower to distribute in the face of the chaos and hysteria brought about by the Apocalypse.
@@xaviermoncada-martin8156 That's just it; I'm saying there won't BE an apocalypse...but a slow burn infestation. Sure THAT can be 'mined' for social commentary: Vigilantism against suspected 'infected' vs actually mounting a 'pogrom' against the ethnic group you hate; is it racist to wall off a whole neighborhood and leave them to go 'lord of the flies'? etc etc.
@Victor Strelok Or probably more likely that the hunt for zombies is racist--you COULD say that if you want social commentary but you still have the possibility of Zods. Stamp it out and soul search later.

In my opinion, the best way to clear out a small town or village would be to have snipers stationed on one side of the town, LMGs and Assault rifles on the same side of the town, but closer. Snipers would pick off zombies at a certain distance, and their shots would attract more zombies. Once the zombies get within a certain distance, the closer soldiers would begin firing.
Good idea, although I disagree in the use of fully autoweapons. The best way to get rid of zeds in every fictional scenario is placing an accurate shot in their brains. LMG would be certainly a waste of precious ammo.
@@marthejose9027 maybe use DMR for the front line and second line, sniper use focus fire either on variants or zacks on the rear guard of the horde

what if, each area (like towns) had x amount of zombies in them (groups of them) and when you cleared the area, you were able to retrieve more/better weapons via crates in the center of the area. same for vehicles you can recover and use for your reward in previous battles. you and your friends could have a mission of clearing out the entire island, with certain areas spawning more/tougher zombies in exchange for higher end loot.
I know just enough about the editor that I don't THINK that would be too difficult to do. thoughts?
or you could earn "money" from kills/cleared areas and use that money to purchase your own equipment/outfit/weapons. an added penalty of losing all your money upon death would mean having the fear of dying in-game.
you perhaps then respawn fresh with a pistol and at a random town.
the chances of solo survival would be stacked against you, but still allow you the opportunity to earn your place back with your team, by fighting your way back to your group or radioing them to come evac you.
Or even more realistic but everyone hates it explore everything important only by manually

+caleb10909 They're all AI but I disabled their movement often and used scripts such as "playmovenow" to make them do what I wanted. :P

Man, you look at this and think; "Hey, a zombie apocalypse seems so manageable. This is easy!" Poor, poor fools.
Well, if handled properly, it IS easy to defeat. A small, well trained, well equipped, well motivated force is more than a match for a horde of slow Romero zombies.
That's why I think freshly turned zombies would be fast as hell! They'd only slow down if they were dead for, say twenty-four to thirty-six hours.
